If you're going to do the right thing and let people properly specialization into the roles that should of been in the game from day 1, then let me emphasize the word "properly." Not every suit is the same. They have different armor, different shields, different highs and lows, different CPU, different PG, and a whole slew of other things. My point is every suit does not benefit from the same upgrades equally as well as every other suit. A Caldari Sentinel for example doesn't have the same level of benefit from complex armor plates as an Amarr Sentinel, for example. If you are going to do a respec, do it right. Dropsuit Upgrades must be included.
It baffles me that what I hear from the CPM is CCP is thinking Dropsuit Command and Weaponry but not Upgrades. Really? Out of the three Weaponry is the most questionable, though I can definitely see the arguments for it. But Command and Upgrades are a package deal, if you refund one you must refund the other.

The Dropsuit Command, Dropsuit Upgrade, and now with many of the expected role/racial bonuses the Weapon tree are looking to be much more interconnected and it looks like some major shifts are coming.

Just do it right and refund everything not related to vehicles. It's not like these respecs happen every month. Just do it right and the player base will be happier for it. I might even return if everything gets refunded, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. |
