There is absolutely no logical reason for CCP to not respec for 1.8. There have been about 5 threads for this that cover every possible angle and it should be pretty clear to CCP at this point in time they're going to screw over and **** off most of the veteran playerbase (or what's left of it) .

At this point, if there isn't a respec, it's because of one thing only:

If they give a respec the game essentially goes on as it did before. There's no HUEG changes as far as the "meta" or the players and specifically how many micro transactions they are making.

If there is no respec, then players will have to grind ISK to get the new goods. Which means that CCP will sell MOAR BOOSTERS!!, which is what this game seems to be about. Not presenting a challenging FPS experience unlike any other before, but creating a cash cow that they can forever milk. And I don't grudge anyone trying to make a dime, but not if you offer a **** product.

If no respec is given, then this has NOTHING to do with the player base, it has nothing to do with fair, nothing to do with CCP's god awful management of the game (It's been so bad that people still call it a BETA, an Alpha, and they've had to hire in a new creative director); it's all about cashflow into the game.

This makes me wonder if the game is not only not making money, but it's eating into EvE profits.

Once you eliminate the impossible, then the answer, no matter how improbable must be what's left. And if you eliminate the impossible in this situation, then there's only a few solutions left.
