So I'd been having a problem with a sniper. Gallente scout who used a dropship to get on a building most people can't reach, had a charge sniper rifle, nothing unusual. So I tried using a car to get across the field where I kept dying. My car suddenly started taking damage. But I couldn't seen any shots coming at it. Long story short my car was destroyed, and I looked up to see what had killed me and...
A charge sniper rifle. The same guy. But I was in a car! How did he destroy my car with a sniper rifle?! |

I hate the kill screen because of this kind of useless crap.
He was the last one to shoot you in addition to whatever else was shooting you.
I had my dropship shot down by a rail or whatever and the kill screen said sniper.
It's like EVE. Whoever gets the last shot on a ship gets the killmail. At least it used to be like that.

Yeah it makes it really embarassing when you suddenly come face to face with some proto players, shout out to your squad for help and then it shows Random[Militia Assault Rifle]You because one of them happened to be shooting you as well haha |

Hahahaha, I love stuff like that.
Back in I believe early chromosome, (or was it codex? it was a long time ago) militia tanks were super weak to gunfire and I recall getting the last hits on several of them with my assault rifle. Nowadays with the super vehicles running around, that's much harder to pull off.
That being said I just got the last hit on a Viper trying to run from a forge gun with my Thales 2 days ago.
And even better I was able to score the last hit on a Madrugar with my Exile a week before that.
But those have been pretty much the only vehicle kills I've gotten this build that weren't from my own rail. |

I got a Shotgun kill on a Gunnlogi the other day.
It took an almost full volley of missiles (one missed) after hardeners wore off, and there was the tiniest sliver of HP left, so I fired and it exploded. Kill feed said I got 3 kills with one pull of the trigger.
I felt guilty, but awesome at the same time. |

I did nearly the same thing the other night only it was two kills and a LAV with a BK-42.
I imagine they were some pissed off reddots.

That was so much fun, the lottery of will the flux grenade I just threw do what it was intended or kill everything due to randomness made every grenade a surprise waiting to happen, fondest flux grenade kill was throwing one at an installation to scare the guy off it and killing him and blowing up the turret caught me totally off guard and got me some wonderful mail accusing me of hacking lol.
My all time favourite though was getting the last shot on a sagaris with a militia scrambler pistol lol.

The kill screen is completely unreliable, at least when you are in a dropship.
Yesterday it told me I was 2-3 shotted by an AR with over 1k shield and 2k armor left.
He was obviously in a turret, but it registered his light weapon instead.
Half the time it doesn't yield a kill screen at all or leaves off the weapon entirely. |

I killed a AUR Madrugar tank with a HMG thanks to this phenomena. DUST does some weird stuff. Anyone else notice how we get a fatal error every time a match of dom ends when one team has beaten the other and has 100 clones more clones than the other side?
Or when you spawn under a floor and it seems like an invisible elevator takes you to the actual spawn?
It's still more fun than COD.

didnt do sh*t, though I just saw the thing going down in flames (0shld 0 armor) and decided to empty my clip just to get an ez assist...
got the viper destruction + 2 kills XD

Ooh, the bunny hopping jump and flux bug. That was a favorite. It only killed you when you were in the air. I had fun cooking flux and waiting for their next bunny hop.
