Sorry for this rant >.>
I've not played this game for nearly a year I think and while I loved the UI updates millions of SP and ISK when I actually play the game it still hasn't changed. Still mass spamming of tanks and very few good counters against them, general idiots that constantly revive people with a militia injector only for them to immediately fall again when I have the proto injector, repper and logistics armor. No team work what so ever. I was hoping for vehicle free play modes and more interior maps to help cut down on that non-sense. Okay, rant mostly over now. |

None of the updates after uprisings release has actually changed the game, It's still a lobby shooter.
Don't make it easy for them, take a few down with you.

Yeah, pretty much a solid year of fluffing the same ****. Looks like they'll continue piddling with minutia for another year and calling it progress. As a fellow procrastinator, I understand. If I had a 10 year plan, I wouldn't do **** til about year 8.

With any free-to-play we'll suffer a large number of casuals who range from age 7 to 70. There's no way to balance the potential disparities (identical equipment games have the same problems). Even with Eve, only a small percentage stay longer than six months and it will be worse with Dust. I'd like to think 1 or 2 percent of the random Noobs see something more, see a reason to play with a team, and dedicate themselves to the challenge.

I personally loathe the uplink spammers. I like it when it's a decent spot, but it ruins the "smart spawn" in some cases and just throwing them down the instant you spawn in results in spawn camping and it all cascades into a bloodbath.

One full squad can fix almost all HAV problems. All squad members carry prox mines and half carry a PLC. All the flux and AV nades you can get. Find the place you think the HAV will drive and deploy your prox mines. Hide. Wait with your PLC at the ready. When the HAV approaches you will have two options. Chase it over the mines or just blitz it if it sits sill. If you can surround the HAV try to push it over the mines. I can do it solo and I bet a squad of three can do it. The PLC is the most versatile weapon and very difficult to use but with some practice it will wreck vehicles. Fire one PLC round and then throw a grenade then reload.
If you have advanced prox mines then you can deploy a total of nine at once, 4 standard and 5 advanced, they don't need to be activated so you can work with the PLC. Don't be afraid to pop in and out of cover. Pilots like killing PLC users, if you are going to lure him to you then the others in your squad can't do it with you. They need to be the surprise. Make the HAV drive past them to get to you with the prox in the middle.
If I were going to build a squad I would have three mercs with PLCs, two with CR/RR and one with a mass driver. As many logi as you can get because they need all the equipment you can carry. Everyone needs a prox mine, two if possible and then as many hives as you can get on the squad. It will destroy most vehicles that drive and if you are good any dropship. The rifles need to be assigned to the two slayers for squad protection and clean up. The best shot with the PLC should be the lure.

I saw that and I wanted to kick a puppy. Especially when its over objectives and enemy movements. How can you make an informed decision on where to spawn! |

Sadly you missed the 2-3 month window where all you needed to kill every vehicle on the map was a high tower and either a forge or proto swarms.... |

We got two new OP weapons and they took away 8 vehicles since you left.
OH BUT WE GOT A NEW VOLCANO MAP!
Jk, it's not a new map, it's just a volcano in the background.

Teamwork can't be forced, trust me I have tried. It doesn't help that this game rewards twitch-shooting more than tactical-play. Which is the inverse of reality. Oh well. I will hold out hope the scanner changes, better WP sources, and more I depth game-modes with Eve relevancy are going to turn this game around in the next several years.
Here, have some candy and a Like. :-)

In ambush there are a rotating spawn points, and it doesn't seem to matter if they are camped as long as someone is still alive or links are still out. Link spammers will spawn into these camped spawnpoints and simply toss out another link while they are being shot. The whole team will spawn on or near that desperate attempt to pointwhore, and usually get killed, because the area is already being camped.
