Saying that your weapons are based on your dropsuits is complete bullshit. Your weapon and playstyle is what defines you as a player, and that is what your dropsuit is based off of. Not the other way around.
Nobody ever says: "Since I'm a minmatar assault, I need to find a weapon that works with that suit" as literally every non-heavy weapon can actually work pretty well with one. If you threw alot of SP into rail rifles (which I'm assuming), you just need to find a dropsuit to complement your play-style with them well, such as a caldari commando.
Hypothetically: What if I was waiting to go heavy until racial parity was achieved, because I'm a hardcore caldari/gallente/minmatar RPer? I should be able to move my weapon skills from light weapons to heavy weapons. Or what if I went Amarr heavy to wait for the Amarr scout? Again, weapon respec is warranted. Also, the existence of new sidearms, especially the mag-sec SMG and bolt pistol, open up light weapon options that I was uncomfortable with before due to the loss of versatility (AKA shotgun, plasma cannon). It is not "complete bullshit". |

I hope they pull their heads out of their collective asses and just give us a full infantry respec.
This game has terrible appeal even amongst some of its fiercest fans, shitting on us won't do them much good. I'm personally getting sick of respecs. They should only do dropsuits and weaponry. There's no reason to respec dropsuit upgrades besides having an entitled playerbase.
Sick of respecs? Not everyone got your juicy Uprising respec. I haven't seen a respec since I started playing this game (I was unaffected by the vehicle respec).
Dropsuit upgrades are not separate from dropsuits. Suppose I'm dropping my Min Logi because I'm a Min RPer and was waiting for the Min Heavy? I now have millions of SP, AKA months of work, tied up in equipment that I literally cannot use. Or, switching from Amarr to Cal heavy- I should be able to move my armor skills to shields.
Full infantry respec or bust. |
