Add -25% Marketplace ISK costs to passive and active boosters. Giving a total of -50% costs to someone running both boosters. It really sucks to have 35million SP with access to Suits and Weapons you can rarely afford to spawn. Meanwhile the Uber players and cheaters/hackers who dont die are always in proto. |

Can you please tell me how to hack on this game?
1. The games are hosted server side instead of client side.
2.Lag switch isn't an option.
3. Modded controllers are situational at best unless you suck that bad that you need to buy an uber expensive controller that allows you to map each button individually.(Ever try to hack an objective, throw a grenade, select a piece of equipment, crouch, or access a supply depot with a standard turbo controller when the turbo activates across ALL buttons?)
4. Flash drive with CFW hacks/mods plugged into the PS3: See #1

Dont be so naive to think CCP has created the first unhackable game. I've played WWIIO,EQ,DAoC,WoW,Planetside and a few others. They all had hacks. Saw a rogue in WoW running around at amazing speeds. Thankfully we got it on fraps and nailed them. Hackers have gotten smarter and use more subtle manipulation now. |

Proto gear isn't supposed to be affordable to spawn on a regular basis. It's supposed to give you that extra edge over the other suits when winning is more important than making a profit.
If anything, it should be 35% more expensive and 20% more effective than it currently is. This would make it very obvious that whoever is using it is more concerned with winning than making a profit.
Proto gear is hardly worth running right now anyway. I went 47/5 last night in an ADV Min assault with an ADV CR (RS-90) that costs ~30k.
I'll link the pic once I can get around this stupid Image posting blocker they have at my stupid work if you want.
STD and ADV are really all that should be run in pubs, leave PRO suits and weapons for PC and lolFW (If they ever actually manage to fix it).
PRO Modules on STD and ADV suits is fine because the lower CPU and PG means you have to sacrifice something else to fit it all.
Makes the games more about player skill, team play, and tactics instead of just who can spam more top tier suits and weapons.
Edit: The reason you see so much PRO spam is because a lot of the vet players (Myself included) are sitting on millions of ISK from the last asset refund that we got, and are currently involved in PC, getting a paycheck from our corp based on activity, and profit made from lolPC, or being contracted to attack or defend districts for other corps.

So pay to win? That is your suggestion? This will only mean the proto stompers will now run boosters (if they already don't do that) 24/7 and proto stomp harder.

If you are a proto stomper i guess this idea would suck for you. To actually face proto on a regular basis would suck wouldnt it. Pay to win is already here,its called aurum gear. |
