1+2+4+1+4+1+1+3+3+3+2+3= 28 (divide by total amount of numbers, *12*)
28++12= 2.3
Average amount of PG across all modules @ basic level = 2.3 (repeating) Round to 2.5 *Mean/Average*
Basic Kin Cat PG: 10
10++2.5= 4
which turns into 4x's the cost of the Mean PG of ALL basic tier modules that consume PG, which is insane

you forgot a bunch of modules for that average...
like the basic kin kat for example
or dampeners
range extenders
range amps
stamina mods
myrofybril stims...
probably a few others |

None of those use PG at basic level at least
And yes, I left out kin cats because they would effect the data and provide an inaccurate result

i assure you that you are mistaken
stam/ mele, and kin kats all use PG, none of wich are included in your average |

They are also the most helpful out of the colored bottles.
I agree, though, that their cost is outrageous. Along with their cloak footing reduction, scouts should also have a reduction to kincats. (Not really. I'm just going with the flow. They should be lowered for everyone)
Also 1% per level? Really? 1%? REALLY?!
Isn't it bad enough we need biotics 5? |

i personally think that the kin cat skill should give a 5% reduction to PG usage per level

Isn't it bad enough we need biotics 5? It should be 5% because it's not really worth getting besides you having a little more speed, which isn't viable ATM.

Nope, Feel free to check my results. I've double checked myself and made sure that there accurate more or less (give or take 1)

seems your math is fine, you left out kin kats though but thats not really an issue since your measuring the average of all other modules...

When they reduced the efficacy they should've reduced the fitting requirements. Their fitting consumption no longer equates with their output efficiency. Back when they were really good, it was totally worth it. And, if you're not running at least an Enhanced Cardiac Regulator, you're doing it all wrong.

You need at least 2 Complex Kin cats to get +1m/s and by then you've gimped you're fit, and if you want Armour you've basically countered the already extremely small bonus for you're speed modules, its not worth it

probably a few others None of those use PG at basic level at least And yes, I left out kin cats because they would effect the data and provide an inaccurate result
When you want to compare a member of a set of a data to the mean value across the data, you need to include that value in the calculation of the mean.
For example: When you want to compare your test score against the class average to see where you stand, you don't take the average of all other classmates and compare your score to that average. You need to first take the average of the entire class and then compare yours to that average. |

Well, if he's going to make an inaccurate comparison and then go on to further defend it as accurate, he's going to get called out. Especially if he didn't bother including any other biotic upgrades, assuming Ghost is correct. Relax. |

Sometimes it happens that a mean value gives a skewed picture of the situation as a whole, even if it is mathematically correct. This can be done since, for example, a very large or a very small value in comparison with the other values in the set of values may be able to influence average significantly, which then becomes misleading. In such situations, it is sometimes useful to be able to enter the median. The median is the value that falls exactly in the middle of a set of values which have been sorted in order of magnitude.
So I believe in the the case of the Kincats they give a skewed picture to the normal formula and hense it's better to use the median formula when you have a flawed value that offsets the end results.
