Hi, I was wondering what the community thinks on having tournaments on Dust, kinda like COD and BF. Imagine seeing Protos fighting Protos, these fights would be more interesting to watch than other FPS games. Also the battles would consist of using only one type of gear such as you can only use fits like MLT,STD,PRO,ADV.

I wrote something similar, about milita matches that can be applied to any other type of match or tournament as you said but needs coordination with everyone else.
Dying must be buffed.

I think the Tournaments should allow you to pick what type of MLT,PRO, etc. match you would like to play. If a player tried to deploy a Proto fit in a STD match then he would not deploy and would receive a 5 sec spawn delay or something.

But unless CCP desing an arena/tournament match it will depend only between players.

yup, they did a poor job of figuring out how to do brackets and select teams, and it took them I think was b/t 6 months to initially give us our rewards, then another year to fix their error in wording for a new reward. We are also still waiting on our dev match 2.5yrs later

I joined in Dec. 15 2013, so I never knew this. When I played the game I saw a lot of potential for this, damn, but seeing the tournaments could have been fun.
