Kinda stupid question - does the explosives skill reduce the CPU for REs? It seems to do so, but I never see it mentioned anywhere, and I don't trust my math tbh.

I suppose it would help if anybody could say what other resource reducing skills might not be so obvious? I hear the nano circuitry skill reduces CPU for hives and needles, but I'm not sure...

It has been mentioned that it does not actually reduce the fitting cost before. I actually tested this out on my Alt to see that it does indeed affect the fitting cost. Though it's not the most efficient gain in CPU out there. It makes a difference when trying fit tight fits out, especially on Min Scouts.

 In short
Yes it actually reduces the cost.

Cheers for that. I have electronics 5 and Will have core upgrades 5 by end of the week. Now that I know I can reduce CPU on my primary, sidearm, grenade as well as REs It might actually be worth grinding the other skills out.

Getting a little tired of having to downgrade my flux for a locus on fits just because I need that 1-2 CPU.

lol, yea flux 'nades are extremely valuable at the higher tiers for those that use them correctly. Hands down the flux is my favorite explosive (fallowed by REs which I just specced into recently after maxing out explosives)

It's not a whole lot but for those tiny extra sp, it does. Explosives is 3% reduced cpu cost per level.
