I shot one of his corpmates with a basic sniper on my 3M SP Caldari character. I knew when I saw the Sentinel ak.0 he was gonna be using something silly, but I got a bit excited when it turned out to be a Balac's Sniper! First time I've been killed by one. Heck, might be the first time I've seen somebody actually using one. He had ~1800hp before I put a couple rounds into him.

I thought the Balac's sniper was a myth.
NK Scout: Stop exaggerating, we all know the Balac's sniper isn't as powerful as a Thale's. Therefore it is not "the most op bullshit ever". |

That sniper rifle was a closed beta tourny reward for 1st and 2nd place along with other fancy stuff. There exist only a limited number of them and they dont drop from salvage.

IIrc, the Balac's Sniper is more like a buffed Ishukone. Less outright damage than the Thale's (still something like 10-20% more than an Ishukone, though), but 7-round mag AND Thale's zoom. |
