I haven't played it in about a month. Every time I try to find a match, I end up waiting 10+ minutes without any results. Does anyone still play FW? |

Prefer isk. Much cheaper than LP.
Plus, Gallente wins in the first 2 seconds of the match. Boring. |

I still mainly do FW, if you see my character in a pub its most likely one of the wee ones playing on the game
When we play for the caldari its about 2 hours for 4 games, the problem is just getting 16 players to fight for the caldari, as the match won't start until the teams are even (which is good), the cool part now is that it is easier to qsync our own 16 players into our matches now.

I only do FW on this merc. I read in the que thread that priority has ben given to squads so heaven forbid you try to get in solo. I'm sometimes waiting 20-30 mins for a match. Fortunately I'm working at my laptop and not glaring at the screen while I wait but it ******* sucks ass right now to have to wait so long. Other than that I'm loving it. The amarr suck.

A lot of people do, but the matchmaking takes forever and fighting for the Caldari and Amarr is a lost cause as you will always lose. It seems everyone is joining the Minmatar/Gallente bandwagon.

Dang...I never considered this retort...I have nothing to say in return...
I'll have to find solace in all these loyalty points and steadily climbing Minmatar standings.

ISK doesn't let you spec early into gear though. Come 1.8 I'll be running advanced level Republic heavy, commando, assault and logistics from LP gear etc. I think that's the main appeal for me, I can focus on specialising in scout but can also play other roles too.

I generally only get to play for a couple of hours after down time, so Minmatar FW effectively doesn't exist for me anymore. Which is unfortunate as I was playing Minmatar FW exclusively for the 4 months prior to 1.7 to avoid the proto stomping and AFKers on the oceanic servers.
Now I'm queued for Minmatar, Galentte and Caldari FW in the effort to get a match, and even then I need to wait until an hour after the server is back up to get a battle in a reasonable time.
The combo may seem strange, but it actually works out fairly well. While only about 1 match out of every 20 is for the Minmatar, who I actually want to represent and gain faction standing with, playing Gal and Cal means that I gain LP with both and get matches quicker.
And as you only lose faction standing from wining a match, playing Cal hasn't really effected my standing with the Gal at all, as there's almost no chance of winning Cal FW. The players on there really really suck. I can tell because I keep coming top three on the scoreboard

Well I won't be making purely LP fits, they'll be a mix of LP and ISK. Basically just FW suits, weps and equipment. I get 550 LP per match at current standings which is slowly climbing and amassing. Scout will be my main so it's not like I'll burn through the stuff, just something to play with now and then.

I stop playing FW cause of the time waiting.
People are playing FPS games for the action and i cant wait for ten minutes to get into action.
Im playing since Uprising 1.0 and still have 8m SP.Im I doing something wrong?

During US daytime, FW wait times are around 3-4 minutes if you queue two factions at a time. Early AM though, FW battles become nearly impossible to get into. In short, although FW wait times have gotten better they are still not that great.
Back on subject, I'd like to play with an actual organized group of people playing with mics (rather than the unsquaded silent types I've been playing with). If there's a Gal/Min group out there, please send me some current channel info.
I cannot be bought, but I can be leased.

All the time. Was steam rolling last night between a decent number of players..... alone we made at the time a 4% impact......with more players fighting for the right side....... that could be 40%....
Also in a couple of days a few changes to FW will be made and we will see how that affects gameplay.
This being a sliding scale of offensive and defensive contracts.
The winning side attacks proportionally less than the losing side to compensate for the lack of space owned.
In future we can then comment on whether lock timers are needed and work towards an open market for LP goods and services.
