So Im in a match being harassed by an attack drop ship and decided to bring out my CBR7 SL fit w/ 2 complex damage mods. I watched the ADS take 3 full volleys from SL's from me and another SL AVer and 3 FG rounds from 3 heavies and still manage to live to harass 10 seconds later. Because I was dedicated to killing this ADS I lost 4 lvl fits and was compensated a whole 84k ISK. I take it that this is CCPs way of saying that if you want to be compensated for AV then hold your breath. I'll stick with being a logi until we logi's get screwed in 1.8. Until then Im going to need a SL respec. The SL is useless. Id be better shooting at vehicles with my CR. |

1: You, and all of those FG's are doing it wrong if you can't take down 1 ADS. I solo them with a wiki swarm (although it takes forever to do so).
2:swarms do need faster projectile speed
3: flak cannon is needed for AA

With swarms you can push dripships to the ground. He also probably had more then one hardener. And if your dimanding a respec just because of a nerff then I pity you. I just want to remind you all that vehicles only got a respec and refund because half of what we had was suddenly ripped out of existance.
I'd say walk in my shoes for a day, but you probably still won't understand.

Call in a lav next time. AV has to be creative nowadays. There is no more weapons that work. You have to jump thru several hoops to scare a vehicle off for ten seconds.

But yes, it really does suck loosing so many suits just for a measly 80k. Especially when your suit costs 200k.
That's why I've resorted to Particle Cannons, I suggest you do so as well.

You never did answer that question when I asked you who's fault it is for using 1-2mil ISK HAVs or ADSs back in 1.6, so I see no reason as to why I should answer yours.

You can't have my sympathy but I agree about AV needing a buff, just not sure what kind of a buff so it wont make the good players OP as f***, I already see good AV players 2 shotting Maddys down with Proto Swarms when the maddy has already lost it's shields. And I see good Forge Gunners able to take dual hardened Gunnlogis down faster than they can get to cover (some people actually know when to start shooting a tank and when to wait till they are in position).
But then at the other side of the equation we have scrubby AV that can't take down a Gunnlogi who's driver is afk. I've seen 3 AV guys try to take down my Gunnlogi while I was just simply leaning back and relaxing, not trying to do anything to survive (not touching my controls at all).
So it's really hard to balance around stupid. Not sure why I'm even telling you this cause I don't consider you smart.
R.I.P. Pre-1.7 tanks, you will be missed.

18.7% damage increase on CBR7 - advanaced swarms - 3 volleys
Another SL user, could be milita tbh
3 FG from 3 heavys - Militia level is 1200 so 3600 total
Now if it was a shield ADS the swarms would have done nothing with a hardener on tbh but the 3 FG round would have dented him at least and caused him to fly away
If it was armor the swarms would have to strip the shields 1st then hit armor which they would do well against, FG would have added on too much damage for it to take since armor reps back very slowly
But if the difference between the AV was like a min or whatever then the DS can rep back the damage
