I remember reading a post from someone on here that gave some newbie advice and thats exactly what he said.
Focus everything on GANKING (weapons), then TANKING (shields/armor), and then SPEED (Bionics).
I didn't really know what to think honestly because I was specing as a Scout.
So I started out putting my points first to get a Minmatar Light Suit and then put the rest into Bionics but I only got to Level 4 and then I started putting my SP from later matches into other things here and there and then finally got to Level 5 in Bionics.
I use a Militia Shotgun which required no SP and still kicks ass.
I now have Shield at level 3 and armor at Level 2.
I'm about a few SPs away form finally graduating into an actual Scout Dropsuit.
Now my problem here is... I think I die way too fast and I know that's common for a weak ass armor and shield Scout. Sometimes I'm even doubting myself when it comes to using a Shotgun (but I can't get away from it because I love and when I'm up close and personal I can sometimes take out three dudes. Also, even though I have Level 5 Bionics... I don't feel like I'm fast enough to doubt throw some people shooting at me (although I've done it a few time). So basically I'm having some regrets and wondering if I should just focus on getting both armors and shields up before I go into a Scout Suit or should I just go into a Scout suit right now? I'm sitting on a 100-something thousand SP and I want to start spending wisely.
Also... my other questions for the community...
How did you spec into your character? What do you regret? If there's a respec where would you put your first 500,000 points at? Do you begin your character in a particular area such as GANK, TANK, or SPEED?

Scout equation is different.
Stealth stealth stealth.
Then some weapon.

You have to skill into Kinetics and Cardiac Regulators.
The Min Scout is getting an extra low slot to help with the speed issue (it's supposed to be the fastest but you can make a Gal scout much faster).
You need your Shield upgrades at L5 as well as your Shield Extenders at L5 for Min Scout.
Don't forget your Dampening and Scan Precision skills either.

Dude I can't thank you enough for that advice. It always stuck in my head. Funny thing is I thought JUST like you did. If I'm going to be a Scout then Speed should be priority. I guess I have my answer then. I'm going to skill up for Kinetics and Regulars then. Thanks again man, you're a genius.
