I think it should be like a flame thrower that spews laser that looks like flames but has the greenish tinge of the laser

You realize the scram rifle is semi-auto... oh, and I'd rather a multirole laser cannon, so you can combat both vehicles and infantry, but it's not as good as the nitch weapons, the hmg, and the forge gun. Then again, boundless HMGs have been known to nearly destroy my Myron after my shields drop...

Well with CCP stating it would be a pulse laser weapon it would naturally be directed towards infantry and be less effective towards vehicles.

I appreciate the love of Flamers...I love them too. But it was confirmed to be a Scrambler Based Pulse Laser weapon, and I think more recently confirmed to be called the Scrambler Lance.

Behave like a cross between ScR and LR? Pulse regular shots, or charge up to release 3-5s continuous beam with substantially larger diameter than the LR and pretty serious range at the cost of huge heat buildup. |

To my recollection, CCP stated to that they haven't decided exactly what the weapon will be in the respect of a Pulse Laser, or large Laser Cannon, but that it will be just as effective to infantry as vehicles.
The only Anti-Shield AV weapon in the game is the potatoe gun, so a new AV weapon against shields will ideally be the new Amarrian Heavy Laser. |

The Amarr Heavy category should be filled by something comparable to the Pulse/Beam pattern in EVE. Right now I'm thinking a scaled up version of the Scrambler Rifle (Pulse) and Laser Rifle (Beam.) How they'd be different from those, how they'd be Heavy Weapons is up to CCP.
Maybe the Heavy Laser could be AV with a damage build up for sustained fire.
