Think everyone has been in a match or twenty where the reds just sit on an uplink to farm blues that just keep spawning there. Maybe sometime down the road we could be given the option to deactivate uplinks? Would help prevent the aforementioned farming which in turn helps your team stay in the match.
I would rather die my way than live by yours.

This and a fix to "Smart Deploy" in Ambush would go down a treat. |

Agreed. As it stands now, I have to respawn and waste an uplink if my previous one just got ran n camped. If I could simply deactivate it from the map, I'd be very content.
But, here's what I'd like to see:
Reds camping a blue uplink. Doesn't know uplink was deactivated. Waits 15 seconds, destroys uplink.
Reds take a compound. Blue uplink is in a very hot location, but was not found. Deactivated, will be reactivated when safer to spawn.
Activation/deactivation done by the uplink owner, of course.
Specialization in improvisation.

I was more so talking about Skirmish. Never play Ambush but I can see where it would be a major problem as well. More so, in fact.

That might be a bit overcomplicated and could be abused. It might be nice to have the option to "pop" an uplink you previously dropped from the respawn screen (not just at random) but imo as a known uplink (ab)user, the current mechanic works reasonably well.
The "smart" deploy mechanic is in much greater need of a rework.

its called redeploying your uplinks somewhere useless, swapping at a supply depot and then deploying your uplinks again.

Eh. If someone is stupid enough to spawn on an uplink KNOWN to be in a hostile-controlled area, it's their own fault if they get farmed. This should be at the very bottom of a very long to-do list. |

I agree, I had an idea in mind for that problem.Why not have booby traped uplinks which explode in proximity to enemy suits. |
