How would you all feel about a MLT Logi suit with, say two equipment slots? I LOVE running cheap fits and I get a great deal of enjoyment out of my Dren BPO, but others have to actually spend the points to use basic Logi stuff. Two slots. That's not too much is it? No sidearm, maybe one high, two low slots?
This way we can get folks interested in running two kinds of equipment, like a needle(blech) and a repper or hive and uplinks or what have you.
And of course it wouldn't have tons of PG/CPU, being MLT and all.
What do you think?

Only basic frames have militia tiers, specialized suits (assaults, logis, etc) do not have militia. It does raise an issue with the current system; basic frame suits provide a way to test drive one specialization's role, but not another's. For example, the basic medium lets you test-drive the assault role in a way since slot layouts and base stats are identical, but does not let you test-drive the logi role.
Basically the basic frames are not generalized enough for specialized suits to be truly specialized by comparison. A basic medium is the predecessor to both the assault, and the logi, yet doesn't really feel like it at all. In what way are specialist suits really specialized if they're basically copy and pasted basic suits with bonuses slapped on? (basic mediums to assault for example).
The solution would be to have basic frames that are a middle-ground between their specializations, so you can sort of test out both role specializations before specializing into them. This would mean having medium frames with 2 equipment slots, maybe remove a module slot or lower a base stat to balance it. Would also make suits like assaults and sentinels actually feel like specializations instead of a tweaked copy of a basic frame.

'Skinweave' Minmatar Medium Frame: 2 equipment. I don't really need it with both a 'Dren' and 'Sever' but I use it for a pilot suit for now.

Fit it with BPO gear and both basic and advanced REs and you can kill a tank for 8k ISK. Best money I've ever spent.
