A bit different for me.
*don't turn on cloak*
*go about my objectives, e.g DU deployment to facilitate my team's victory*
*rely on situational awareness, dampening and the indirect approach*
*kill only if my covert ops are discovered by enemy*
*activate cloak to sneak through urban area/passing infantry/tank or to evade LoS discovery*
*get to cover, decloak and continue on my way doing scout stuff and not trying to be an assassin or assault*

1) Turn on cloak
2) flank player from a ceiling
3) throw contact grenade while disabling cloak
4) enemys die and you drop a nanohive on their corpse and resuply your grenade
5) recloak |

that would be nice, however you can't go very fast if you want to blend in, plus I'm guessing they would see a random thing that you can't really see, but know it's there and start firing at it.

Cloak is going to be reworked many times before it becomes passable as a game mechanic.
Too many Dusters feel strongly about their worry of it being overpowered and underpowered, that they infected CCP with the same afflictions. |

Or if the enemy has their volume on
1) flank player
2)disable cloak
3) enemy jumps backwards, spins in a circle, aim assist locks onto you with a bust of a CR, and you're dead before you can switch weapons
4)you are dead on the ground and wait for the gallente heavy with logi following with a rep tool and needle to come by
5) gallente heavy kills everything, logi is a blueberry who doesn't know how to revive you, you bleed out

Lol. Has no one here played TF2? If scrubs can't flank with the help of invisibility, no one can help them. Try not to put your nose up the enemies ass before you decloak behind cover, as to not alert him. Then stab him in the back.

You would be better off without a cloak. It's a waste of CPU/PG because if people couldn't see you with the shimmer effect, then they have horrible peripherals and thus you don't need a cloak to run up beside them and knife/shotgun them.

If you decloak behind the player, he won't kill you by backpedaling. Otherwise, I think about right.

That's a terribad speculation. Gotta wait and see what it's like. The idea behind the cloak is to help scouts move from A to B over open spaces - the vulnerability that is game breaking for scouts right now. Cloaks are not meant for ninja kills, you gotta use skills for that, which is perfect.
