On my alt Logi McStician, I had some interesting battles. I fought with and against all the squaded corps that tend to dominate this battle mode. While I am not a good shot, I am a decent (exaggeration) Logi. This alt has 1.7m sp and I use a Dren BPO with a std RR, hive, needle(I know I've said I don't run them anymore, but I've found them pretty useful in Ambush only) and a repper, all mlt.
Please know I have neither love nor hate for any of these corps. I don't care. When I'm on their side, I stick with the group and run up a few easy kills and assists while getting my repper in there now and then, and when I'm against them I try to keep the scared and confused blueberries alive as much as possible before getting unceremoniously wiped off the map. At 1.5k ISK per suit, its easy to keep the game in perspective and just have fun and try to "get gud."
The point is, get in there and play the game. Proto, cheap tactics, Queue syncs, FOTM, that stuff isn't going away. Too many tanks on the field? Leave and get in another match. Too many Nyains? Too bad, rep through it. Molon Labe got you pinned down? Reeeeespawn!

I did that with 2 other scouts and they whipped out their Duvolle Focused. |

Seems so.
But I had to do something. Either just play the game and get some fun, or spend a bunch of money on buckets at Lowes for all my butthurt tears. Oh yeah, it still sucks getting caught in a squadded crossfire; oh well.

Sadly in my case I came to that conclusion as well but the people I squad with lately have been pressuring me that I am not relevant if I'm not rolling out proto even though I tell them every time proto is useless to me. I don't care if it gets the mad deeps and kills I want to spend my excess money on fun builds like potato cannon trick shots and seeing how many proto try hards I can mow down with my LAV militia rail turret or jihad jeep before I get the "you're a scrub" mails. |

Play enough ambush and you'll eventually have a few games that are tons of fun too.
...though mostly it's the stomp or get stomped type. |

This is also what I have found in my Ambush travels. While many relish the crushing defeat of their enemies, I thoroughly enjoy the narrow victory, that tooth and nail race to either clone or MCC the other team. Really gets the adrenaline pumping!
