I am confessing right now, I am a slayer logi. I have designed the perfect fitting that can deal major damage and can also take it. My logistics suit has no benefits to my teammates whatsoever. the only equipment it uses is compact nano hives to quickly repair armor and to resupply. It is a tank with over 1100 hp and with majority shield. I use the kaalakiota rail rifle on this suit. If you haven't figured it out yet, it is a logistics ck.0. Here is a link to my corp website so that you can view the fitting for yourself. I believe it is one of the best possible fittings that optimizes pg and cpu usage. It costs exactly 137,745 isk.

I got 1000 HP and decent armor repair with a full load of equipment and a proto combat rifle.
You gonna stay logi when 1.8 comes out and actually use equipment or just do whatever pads your ratio?

The only reason it costs so much is that CCP is trying to stop/limit proto stomping in pub matches. If it was cheap, everybody would run it

it shouldn't be cheap or super expensive
and they CAN fix matchmaking in 2015
and everybody already runs it all the time, lowering price will help counter proto

No, proto gear should be more expensive. It should be the isk suck that limits proto stomping and our wallets. There is no reason we should have 100's of millions of isk in our accounts at a given time. This makes for a huge gap between us vets and newer players.

toasterwaffles, you'll be happy to know, that come 1.8 your Slayer Logi will be getting a buff
for the price of losing your inherent armor rep, now all of your nanohives will use less pg/cpu, so now you can upgrade to adv or proto hives, get moar armor repping from them, and probably have room left over to fit grenades!

I believe that the total CPU/PG of the logi suits is getting nerfed though toaster. If they hit it hard enough it might force you to actually play as a logistics player, not a slayer.

I've got a slayer logi suit but I also rep teammates and pick up those that have fallen with it; I carry X-3 hives but that's primarily for me although I don't mind sharing. It's not the best suit for slaying and costs me close to 200k (can't remember exactly how much but it's up there.) but I generally kill more than I die while still being able to help the team with ammo, reps, & revives so I'm happy with it.
I always try to put some kind of assault into what I run. Even in a scout I'll run it like an assault on meth..... that one doesn't work out to swell for me though.

I run about 20 different versions of the ck.0 suit, all with some version of the ARR.
They vary from a logi-bro, swiss army knife, equipment heavy versions....
...all the way to a damage mod, dual tanked log-slayer that has no equipment at all.
All of the above said... With 1.8 I hope to switch over to cal assault, but for now the logi simply does it better....Leadfoot |
