Its a fair statement of me to ask for CCPs stance on this. they sure do wanna say something about everything else thats coming in 1.8 but not this.

but every time I see Spe4kr post about tanks not being OP i WILL be doing the community a favour and put a tanks are OP thread right on top of it

The biggest issue is that they decided to compound (a) buffing tanks with (b) nerfing AV into oblivion. Tanks would probably not be nearly as big an issue if things like AV grenades and Forge Guns were still able to kill them. Right now it's like borderline impossible as infantry, especially in something like Ambush, to effectively stop a tank from decimating your team. All they have to do is pop their hardeners, wreck your team for ~30 seconds or whatever while basically invulnerable, drive away and wait for cooldowns, come back, rinse and repeat. CCP's whole ridiculous "window of opportunity" philosophy wouldn't be an issue if during that window of opportunity there was actually an effective way to stop a tank from driving away (hint hint Webifiers?). Forge Guns, AV Grenades, and Swarm Launchers are just not effective enough to deal with how powerful tanks have become. The only way to counter tank spam is with tank spam which is in and of itself a huge issue. Infantry are at the mercy of hoping they have people on their team with tanks because there are no longer viable anti-vehicle infantry solutions. Let me play you the song of my people!

He cannot be broken by your arguments. So directly opposing him is not the best way to do it. "God forth, there are words other than these" that will better combat his stand point.
