Like the title says, these are my thoughts on the game at 1M SP. Going to break this up into a couple posts to avoid one massive wall. That said, *begins typing next post*

Just a bit of advice about spending SP. I would advise prioritizing spending SP into core skills that benefit all suits. Electronics (more CPU), engineering (more PG), shield upgrades (more shields), armor upgrades (more armor); I would get shield extension and armor plating to level 1 to use standard plates and extenders, MLT ones use up more PG/CPU. That weapon skill (weapon upgrades?) that unlocks damage mods is also great to have, reduces the CPU cost of damage mods. Light/sidearm/heavy weapon operation skills are useful as well since they reduce CPU consumption of the respective weapon type. You should also be aware that nanocircuitry reduces CPU of nanohives and nanite injectors by 5% per level (hidden bonus). I also strongly advise maxing out profile dampening, it reduces your scan profile low enough on a medium suit that you can hide from standard active scanners, and lets you use complex profile dampeners (just one will hide you from advanced active scanners).
You might not need this advice at all, but just in case you might.

Made a thread a week ago about my first day in New Eden. More or less saying how the majority of the playerbase is tough to kill, but I was willing to stick it all for the long haul. That hasn't changed, as I've combed the forums a bit (found the Rookie Training Ground. Awesome that it's here.) , and joined D-UNI. Having done so, I think I may have avoided what many new guys have been forced to play through. While I do enjoy playing solo, playing in a squad is the way to go. Going to mention the Pubstomping later, but It's much more fun to have a group to play with. Even if you are being pushed into your own redline. D-UNI has provided that, along with Dennie's frequent mails which sometimes contain helpful tips.
I doubt I would've found them if I hadn't found the forums like I said earlier. Having a notification on where to head right out of the Academy would have been nice. Though I've discovered that part of the experience of playing in New Eden is about finding your own way around, and that this universe isn't for every player.

In the future I recommend you reserve your posts so that everything you have to say is on the top and the readers comments come after.
Yea, the rookie training ground is the best thing that has come out of these forums...period! Unfortunately, as you can see from the number of poorly skilled players, it is sadly underused.
"...this universe isn't for every player"? LOL DAMN STREIGHT! This universe is freaking hardcore! That's part of the reason the player base is so low compared to other games. Other games are for everyone.

Said I was going to mention Pubstomping. Here It is.
Dear lord, some of you asshats don't let up. Several times I have been mauled by a pack of rabid proto's while playing solo and with a squad. Solo doesn't bother me nearly as much, as that is expected. I also know most have a massive amount of SP into their suits and roles, but watching a whole team be decimated by one squad is discouraging. It's even worse when one side is stacked with 2 squads from the same corp.
That said, the rare matches when somehow your team of randoms manage to beat the stacked team is oh so satisfying. Watching that one squad be swallowed up in a blob of blue is hilarious. Especially when that last guy tries to run. Knowing there is a slither of hope behind all those black suits is encouraging.
When each side is relatively even is where Dust shines. Both teams going back and forth over letters is a blast. Having both sides collide into one epic firefight for that last point is a major highlight. Even a loss in these close fought battles feels like a win, knowing that it came down to the last clone on the field. Then having to restock on your suits after a match like that is what sets Dust apart from the rest.
I would rather die my way than live by yours.

Currently speccing into Logi. Though depending on the suit changes and a respec in 1.8 that may change. I might look into DL

I put my 32 mill main on the back burner to be reborn as the Matari master race with a whopping 2.5 mill SP.
I'm playing mostly factional warfare and I'm playing scout so I avoid confrontations and work on uplinks etc. With loyalty points you can spec into advanced gear at level 1 and proto at level 3. It's actually a ******* awesome way to gear up before you have the SP and really recommend this approach. As a logi, for e.g, you can go level 1 logi and put on the advanced and get a double healing repper at repair lvl 3.
If you don't take this approach, most others have covered the basics. Spec into core skills, CPU, PG, but go into dampening early as many have clearly not bothered with these skills and even level 3 will allow you to ghost around many mercs. Pick a role and spec into it, flesh it out then move on.
  Good luck!

With active and passive boosters you make just over 500K so at 2 weeks it's more like 1.5 million.
