People need to get over this thing with aoe weapons, they're all so horribly nerfed right now because of all the QQ about 'unskilled' players and spam. As if people spamming RR are any more skilled. Balance to the flaylock and the MD would be fantastic. |

Lol, no it doesn't. Its fine where it is. Its just not as OP as it used to be. I've seen the core flaylock in action, and funny enough, you have to be a good shot and you can take out a heavy in three shots, but since the actual skill level went up and its insane splash damage went down a lot of people dropped it and went for the auto aiming headshoting scrambler pistol.

Scrambler pistol does more damage to armor than a flaylock. Scrambler pistol does -20% against armor.
Regardless if you constantly direct hit people the flaylock is a piece of garbage. It is the most pathetic of all the side arms. If anyone thinks the flaylock is "in a good place" or "a great side arm" clearly have not skilled into or used any other side arm.

I can unload a scrambler pistol and switch to a main weapon and fire more rounds off before a flaylock would even reach 8 rounds.

No because those who abused it should bear the consequence for their "i win" button. And with the upcoming changes to the minnie assault it would make that "sidearm" much better then any regular light weapon in the game.

I use the Flaylock it's borderline OK but it has to be used as a sidearm.

As a sidearm that takes a hilariously small amount of fitting compared to most, I won't deny at all that it kinda sucks. It still absolutely has uses though, splash damage is definitely valuable in certain situations, and given it goes into a slot usually relegated to some bullcrap to poop an extra 2 bullets out before reloading your main weapon... I think it is does it's job at murdering hackers, blobbers and equipment quite nicely.

I nearly flipped a DS in a yesterday with CRAZY LUCKY SHOT from my MD, it was far away I did a quick guesstimate and popped a shot. It was coming towards us hen after that it took off, I think it was a Python. Then later a Python was raining down a mini orbital and I shot it a couple times with my MD, must have been low health equipped cause I nearly knocked out its armor. And it was not that far above my head.
Oh yeah, a buff would be cool to the Flay. Every time I get a kill with it it seems the victim goes on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge to hunt me down.

If it is only a direct hit weapon them it isn't any different than a scrambler pistol but with less damage, less accuracy, and slower ROF.

yeah i see nothing wrong with a direct damage buff i mean when was the last time you got hit with a small rocket and survived , i never got to use it when it was a fotm but i still like it and im only lvl 3 no prof so i can only imagine lvl 5 with 4 prof but until then i will have to wait
