Alright, so a lot of us already know a fair amount about the mechanics of EVE and how the proper application of E-War can make or break a fleet engagement.
There's a few types. Sensor Dampening (We already have these, though they're applied to our own suits. Target Painting (Has no real purpose in DUST aside from possibly turning every missile fired on the designated target.) Tracking Disruption (makes turrets have a much harder time hitting their targets.) Warp Scrambling (Pointless in DUST until we get fighters) and finally.. The ever discussed Stasis Webifier.
Now, we already have sensor dampening, Our suits already have -really- short range, so the only thing I can think of here is a single-use deployable that makes a small (20m sphere of map unscannable until it's destroyed. Could be vital for masking troop concentrations and making Orbitals harder to place accurately.
Target Painting: I see this affecting large missile turrets more drastically. Painting a target would increase the overall accuracy of the missiles (obviously as an equipment slot) and giving them a VERY minor ability to track. Probably something like a quarter of the turning radius of current Swarms. In addition, it could -increase- the effectiveness of swarms by increasing their tracking rate as long as the target stays painted. Could possibly be a vehicle Turret or module. Man-portable would be 1/4 effective as a larger one due to higher resolution scanning.
Tracking Disruption: I see this being a LAV/Dropship mod. Essentially a Lock-On module that temporarily cuts the tracking speed of all turrets on the affected vehicles to 1/3rd the adjusted speed. This would make tanks significantly less effective so long as the disruptor is on, and reduce his overall effectiveness in accurately hitting targets.
Stasis Webifiers: Personally... I do -like- the idea of webber grenades. I saw something on here about a suggestion for a webber that's like a rep-tool. I have a couple of suggestions myself. Grenades are great, but they're not all that useful against dropships (and we all know what a pain they can be, am I right?) and if you're that close to a tank, you're probably not far off from being a dead man with the rest of your buddies. 1: Lock-On Vehicle Module/ 2: Remote Stasis Webifier (Remote Explosives, but to slow down the buggers instead of destroying them.. Deals no damage. Triggered version lasts longer with a smaller reduction to vehicle speed, proximity version has a short duration, but cuts speed by more. 3: Stasis Missiles. Yes. I said it. Swarm Launchers that deal -less- damage, and slow vehicle movement by a small % per missile that hits. Say... 100 damage (400 on STD for full salvo) and.... between 2-5% per missile. (8-20% speed reduction that suffers the same stacking penalties the rest of our beneficial equipment has.)
