Hi all,
I am sure you already know this, but the game is severely one sided in pubs. Almost every match I was a part of tonight was a loss. I know you should play as a team, but that should not be necessary in a pub match. I also don't think I should have to pay-to-win either like a lot of the players I went up against appear to be doing. I also think that one side of random players vs one side with a few well armed squads on it is like a team of kittens going up against a team of pit bulls, they get slaughtered every time. Don't get me started on the tanks....
Granted, I have really only been playing for a few weeks now, but still I don't see the game as fun or rewarding anymore. It's more boring and tedious.

yup. they managed to make being an immortal mercenary in a world where there are ****ing space pirates, an entire, organized zombie faction, and people casually backstabbing each other for what amounts to real world millions feel like a crappy paying, ****ty job
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

You know in the movie Fight Club where the new recruits have to stand outside the FC HQ and take abuse for days until they're allowed in? That's basically the first 2-3 months of DUST 514. If you can suck it up and hit cap and just build up that SP pool, you can start to get competitive.

Starter fit medic assault.
Get on a railgun.
Kill enemy tanks, dropships and jeeps for wp.
Then follow a few blues to get a few revive points.
Who cares if you go 5 and 9 in free fits??
Repeat until 1.8 patch and you have some SP and the RR, CR and tank insanity gets cut back.

I don't blame you if you want to quit, but make sure to check back every few months because the game experiences a lot of radical changes; next month for example, we will get a huge release of new weapons and dropsuits. Being stomped in public battles is a serious issue, but the game really isn' pay-to-win; the AUR items are basically the same as the regular ISK ones, except they have less skill level requirement, but they never get more powerful or better than the best ISK ones.
