I can't seem to kill anything with my Assault Combat Rifle on 60 sensitivity. Using a controller by the way, trololololol.
Any tips would be fine.

Why are you using the Assault CR in the First place?
The regular ones have the SAME RoF, 10+ damage, you only need to smash R1 fast enough....

Have your tried hipfiring? Also, it may be one of my favorite weapons of all time, the rate of fire shreds everything, and scares almost everyone. Btw, sensitivity is also just a personal preference. I myself have it WAY down, ads sensitivity is like 20, while hip fire is around 40. Also, invest in a high alpha damage secondary, so you can finish them off if your run out of bullets. I would suggest the breach scram pistol, as it is a slow, high damage weapon. Also, it's a weapon made for people using cover, as you can pop up and send more bullets down range then that rail rifle, or the assault rifle. Like I said earlier it's almost totally personal preference.

Well i have all sensibility setting at 100.
I use the ACR as a sidearm for my Scrambler Pistol sometimes (shoot 3-4 SCR pistol shots and if they didnt die, i hipfire + spray & pray with the ACR)
Result may vary.

I thought the same thing. I kill heavies faster with a regular CR and ScR than an ACR, but I do have a very fast trigger finger.

I use the assault on my scout fits. it's excellent for a sneaking weapon. line it up on their head and rip it in half before they can even figure out what happened, then kiss their inattentive friend with my knives before they know he's dead.

Have any skills in sharpshooter for it? It massively reduces the dispersion rate at longer distances.

Well, even level two should be decent enough to help with dispersion problems. I use level 4 and for my regular CR, there's basically no dispersion at all, even at a respectable range. Are you using it for within 10-20% of optimum range or are you going way outside of that?

Around 15%. I get mad having a hard time killing a walking (not sprinting) target with this thing. They'll turn around and kill me 80% of the time. Then again, as Heathen said, it'll probably just take practice. Maybe it's just one of those guns that requires it, because we all know AR was child's play compared to this, haha.

Yes, AR was super easy and I loved using the thing. If the range wouldn't have been nerfed to only low mid range to CQC I'd still be using it.
I usually don't have much trouble with walking targets. My problem is that I shoot so fast is that I often overshoot. I don't hold fire until I directly am tracking the target. I'll often unload 1/2 a clip while still a bit behind it. Then if I stop and line up, I kill them with the remaining clip.
The main reason I don't like ACR is that for me the firing rate is just too quick. Using a regular CR allows me to either fire it full auto like a ACR from my button technique, or I can just scale back a bit on the trigger and use the burst fire gaps to help with target tracking in CQC while helping conserve ammo and avoiding damage through excessive strafing. I've gone up against tanked heavies inside of buildings and complexes with HMGs or even RRs and killed them face to face. The HMG burst firing ones still get me 90% of the time though.
I've found for ACR though, for taking out walking enemies or those on the move, you are better to rush forward for a closer engagement and rely on crosshairs than the iron sights. Heathen is right though, takes awhile to get down. It took me over 3 months to figure out how to aim well in this game.

The ACR doesn't have an ugly scope on it. I also just feel like I perform better with a fully automatic rifle where I have to press the R1 button once instead of tapping it.

Use it like an HMG or Shotgun... Profile dampeners are key, I also like flux grenades with it.
My sensitivity is 70 hipfire 60 ADS, but that's just a personal preference.
Oh, and two damage mods, you'll need those if you want to kill past 20 meters hipfire, or 50 meters ADS.

Like the normal scrambler its all about headshots with this gun unless u hipfire while jumping about. Damage mods are nice, but this is my general tactic with scrifles...
ADS and nonADS Left/right sensitivity max for quick spin and target switching. ADS Up/down sensitivity 20ish% for fine tune from torso to headshots. Also Strafe to aim horizontally in and out of ADS instead of fidling with the right stick. Goodluck.

I played against Moody in a round once.
I was using ACR he was using CR.
I ran into him point blank twice with my scout suit. My gun tore him to shreds both times.
I am still convinced that the ACR is far better in CQC. CR is still better overall, but if you are gonna be point blank 24/7, go with the ACR.
As for sensitivity? 100% all the way.

It's not simply an issue of speed. It's an issue of timing. Mash it too early and the buffered input will not result in a second barrage.
Maintaining a perfect timing along with tracking a well-strafed opponent is difficult and, indeed, not very likely to happen the majority of the time.
The only time I can truly recommend using the regular combat rifle is with a modded controller. In that combination, there is likely no better weapon in the game. |

For me, reload time factors in, accuracy and bullet count, along with the ability to put out huge amounts of bullets down range accurately.

I thought 60 was too low too, I went to 70.
Also, totally agree that the ACR is better in CQC than regular CR. Too easy to miss with a burst up close, in which case you are pretty screwed. CR is a better all-purpose weapon but going 1v1 against an ACR up close you're likely to get shredded.
