I've been wondering about making an alt. I've been looking through the roles and commando caught my eye. I was wondering what is there slot layout and how different they are from sentinel. But with 1.8 coming I'm not sure if to start now or wait and if the suit is even worth it. Thanks.

I currently run commando, and i've been having a blast.
In the new patch, they're getting straight up buffs.
Shield regen, slot counts, slot layouts, HP, free 10 or 25% damage bonus.
For starting out, i would suggest getting lv2 commando, 2 weapons to op3, and their reloads to 2 or so.
Nanohive and scanner to 1/2 respectively.
Under 28db
Officially nerfproof (predicting CR nerf February '14)
Selling SP: 10k SP per 100k ISK.

Thanks. All ready made an alt working on basic upgrades, will work on those skills once 1.8 hits. If anyone is wondering my alt is Forever ETC.

I actually run a rep tool on my commando, it's awesome to run in a squad of heavies with it. People expect to come around the corner and take down the logi first, only to have me unload a rail rifle on them while they're pelted by an HMG. Try it sometime :D

Ok so on equipment I think I'll get scanners and rep tools, but I'm not too sure what weapons I should get for 1.8.
Ps: I already have AR and SCR on my Main, I want to try something new. |

Try Re's. Those are fun.
Get everything to lv1: you never know how badass a 25% reload buff is.
Plasma cannons, Swarms, those make great 'sidearms' as you have decent tank and then another primary weapon to sling around.
Also do not forget the awesomeness that is sidearm class. For instance bring a Scrambler pistol to reload 1 or so, get commando 3, and duude, it reloads FAST.
Flaylocks are super lol worthy.
Nova knives make you smile, from ear to ear. "Damnit i got knife- wait. THAT WAS A COMMANDO!?"
Scrambler Rifle already has the fastest reload, mix that with a 25% buff and it's like chuck norris reloading.

aslo dont underestimate injectors, what i run is close to a battle medic. really good in a organized squad.
honestly just chose a weapon that u like, or use multiplie guns on difrent loadouts to fill more roles in a squad. to me cammandos r like a swiss army knifes |
