I'm already proto assault and logi, and I will keep using both as needed. However, without a nerf to damage mods, the distinctive assault racial bonus will be overshadowed by the new slayer logistics squads. My Caldari Assault will be a great solo sniper, but my Caldari Logistics will have extra damage mods, triage nanohives, ammo hives, and ACR (or AR or RR). We will all see a lot of Gallante and Amarr logi guys playing the same way.
There will be bullets. ACR+SMG

I might shift from Logi to full time dropship pilot. It's hard to do both well even with 33M SP and it's going to get even worse in 1.8.
It's going to require several racial suits to be as effective and we will be weaker in comparison with the buffs to Assaults. On top of that I'm getting tired of carrying water for a largely ungrateful lot who ***** about my rewards. I think that I'll let all those new Heavies hoof it from the back and hike to SDs.
Of course that hinges on CCP's ability to deal with redline rails. If they don't get that right I might just take an extended break.

Logis are ruined. I'm going Gallente scout for my "Solid Snake" fits, and a Gallente Logi to detect dirty players who try to use Dampners like the ******* they are. I can't stand "errors" My scanners see all (Will use three scanners with my Gal Logi, try nerfing that ******) |

beast mode logi for me still. it still has 2 weapon slots, 3 equipment slots, 3 highs, 4 lows, and the highest cpu/pg....oh and a bonus to the most vital piece of equipment in the game
i do move at 3.9ish though , but its worth it for 370 shield and 800 armor |

Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.
