To help out with community relations, fiction, administrative issues, bug hunting and the new player experience; EVE Online has a program called The Interstellar Services Department (ISD).
GÇ£a long standing group of volunteers, split into several teams who graciously share their free time in order to assist in a variety of tasks that all go towards supporting and enriching the players experiences in the world of EVE. GÇ¥
There are several departments of this program where players who are passionate about the game, who can help out in various departments and these departments are:
Equipment Certification and Anomaly Investigations Division [ECAID] - Bug hunters.
Interstellar Correspondents [IC] - Everything to do with player-driven events.
Mercury [M] - Specialized in everything fictional about New Eden.
Support Team and Resources [STAR] - Helping players, new and old with any questions or problems they may have.
Yulai Archives & Record Repository Team [YARR] - Administrate the EVElopedia
I think there should be a similar program for Dust called GÇ£The Planetary Services Department (PSD)GÇ¥ or something else if CCP decides it. Not only would this be beneficial to the game and the community but it would also relieve a lot of work from the CCP employees to concentrate on the issues that are currently plaguing the game.
There doesn't necessarily need to be a new program for this to come into light but it could make it easier to distinguish between the two departments, the EVE/Dust teams would effectively be doing the same work; just one based in space and the other on the planets.
I know alot of players who would be willing to volunteer to help out in the game we all love and would love to help to see it prosper into its first decade.
What department would you apply for?

Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I would love to help with lore and fiction related elements any Dust players require aid with...not sure if there is an official Dust 514 programme like this......

Sounds like a good idea.
I'd probably apply for STAR.
@Cat Merc:
So what's your job? Confirm the concrete is warmed by the star to the appropriate temperature for naps? Prevent small animals from interfering with battles? Or are you just the mascot to increase the group's internet likeability?
1.8 can't get here soon enough.

I think I would like to work for [YARR] and get those forums updated, seeing as the dust wiki is more updated than the official site or maybe help out in [STAR] I like helping people out.
