LUMINAIRE GÇô A press pack released this afternoon by Material Acquisition outlines plans for the initial stages of a clean-up and salvage operation to remove the wreckage of the Leviathan-class titan CN Shiigeru, which was partially destroyed in orbit and impacted the planetGÇÖs surface on March 22 last year.
The lengthy document, which gives a detailed report on the environmental impact of the event and covers the current conditions in the 1.2 million square kilometre debris field, contains proposals approved by Material Acquisition, Ishukone and the Gallente Senate. They would see much of the wreckage salvaged and recycled before being put to use in the reconstruction of Qaiian Tower, the regional headquarters of the Nugoeihuvi Corporation, which was heavily damaged during the vesselGÇÖs atmospheric entry.
In a follow up announcement, a Material Acquisition spokeswoman confirmed that GÇ£although the area lies within a district under Federal administration, we will be working hand in hand with the Ishukone Corporation due to both the sensitive nature of the operation, and the extremely important historical and cultural relevance of the Kaalakiota mountains to the Caldari people. We intend to ensure that operations in both the affected area, and the city of Arcurio, are conducted with the highest level of respect.GÇ¥
A little over an hour after the announcement, several media outlets reported sightings of a number of Ishukone Corporation salvage platforms being towed into low orbit of Caldari Prime.

Good to know that the operation is getting up and running, the citizens of Caldari Prime have been through enough.

I don't know all the details from my days during the campaign, but what I can remember makes me still shake in fear.
It was the first time I ever saw a different system and the first time I went to war. I am still visiting a psychiatrist because of this event, but I can pay the bills, other people like regular soldiers, security personel and the citizens of caldari prime who survived have most likely not enough money to get treated for such a trauma.
I hope with the removal of the shiigeru that some of these psychological wounds heal. |

im glad the salvage operation is going on but i fear the moment they remove this scar people will forget its costs and same mistakes will repeat again I think there are two points that negate your theory.
1. Even if some people try to forget about this event, are there going to be millions of victims that will scream out in righteous rage what they have witnessed. 2. We are still here to tell the true story and we will still stay when others turned into the dust we all came from. |

Sadly any mortal that cared will be dead within 60 years and once the site is removed the memory among clones will diluite. Im one of the oldest here and most of u think im barking mad, by the time it comes around again the powers that be will just dismiss it as the ramblings of clones that have 514ed

I will honor this memory, not in fear it because that day we halted the gallente assault on the ground and I wish to spread the word of the brave men and women of the Wiyrkome honor guard that gave their lives (mortals of course) for Caldari Prime.

There will be a monument.
And I would like to do my part in this salvage. There is always something to secure. |

I doubt any Gallenteans will be invited to take part in the recovery of a Caldari Titan.
