Someone mentioned this somewhere else but I thought it deserved it's own Thread. So instead of the Proficiency Skill giving a Damage Bonus to Weapons, what if it gave a Unique Bonus to each Weapon instead? Look at the Shotguns Proficiency Skill for example... It gives it an increased Rof instead of increased Damage. So for other Weapons it could be like an increased Zoom Bonus for Sniper Rifles or a Heat Reduction Bonus for Scrambler Rifles. Stuff like that.
What do you guys think?

They are changing it in 1.8
Shield killing weapons will do more shield damage. Armor killers will do more armor damage.
ScR Proficiency: +x% damage to shields.
RR Proficiency: +x% damage to armor.

I would like truly unique ones as well, but I think we may have to settle for these new ones.

I know. And I don't even mind. But maybe if a CPM or a DEV see's this, they might put it on some kind of good idea list or whatever they do lolz. Anyway it's possible that it could eventually make it into Dust. But that won't happen unless they see it in the first place. :3

People need to learn the difference between "we are changing this" and "we are considering this." Nowhere was it stated that they are definitely going to make this change.

I never saw the actual dev post myself. This is just what I've heard.
