I've recently started LAVing around in an AV fit to screw with THE tanks. It somehow is the best option to deal with them. Anyway, what really bugs me is that if you bump friendly (or enemy for that matter) tanks you instantly blow up. I mean we are talking speeds here of no greater than 10mph (16 km/h, I'm in Canada); and BOOM! Dead. As if you didn't just get finished driving a 1200 hp heavy down at double the speed limit. Sometimes it feels like rush hour inside cities with three or more tanks clumsily frolicking about; it is just plain disastrous for LAVs.
I'm sure this has been well documented.  |

agreed. no point in trying to out maneuver a tank with a gunner. you die if he touches you at nearly any speed which is ridiculous to be honest. also lets you team kill in non factional which shouldnt be possible.
additionally you can blowup dropships with tanks if you drive into it before it takes off. |

The keyword is bumping...even on the sides...
The tanks aren't 'crushing' them.
Tanks can even drive ON TOP of eachother and do 0 damage,enemy or not...

You are asking for a removal of Jihad Jeeps.
It's a feature when hitting reds.
It's only a bug when hitting blues in game modes without friendly fire. |

You try driving into a moving tank with jeep and see if you live.

I'm not asking for a removal of jihad jeeps or debating the fact that full speed crashes into tanks should blow up LAVs. The point here is "bumping". I'm talking the front left side of the bumper slowly touches a tank BOOM! DEAD. If you think I'm exaggerating go try it yourself. |
