I should have just stuck with the word empathy to prevent any confusion so sorry about that. They have their own set of emotions intact, and highly functional psychopaths are capable of making friends, getting married, etc. Not sure if you are aware of the American late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon, but he is a low level psychopath. The difference with psychopaths is that they don't consider the feelings of others important beyond how it effects them, so feelings which are generated by other party feelings like guilt or compassion don't come into play.

Also I don't think people understand the difference between being in a mood / maladjusted (blinking your eyes / keeping them shut) to being a psychopath (being blind), and this tiny test does little to help explain that fact. Real diagnosis is usually broken into 4 parts, clinical interview, followed by IQ, behavior, and personality assessments. Examples of some tests is the CPI or the MMPI variants Psychopathy is biological and is a result of reduced prefrontal cortex (planning and complex behavior) and amygdala (fear and emotion control), in fact some patients with brain damage in these areas start exhibiting psychopathic behaviors. Characteristics of such include extreme narcissism, lack of impulse control, lack of fear, manipulative, inability to feel or relate (lack of empathy). Another misconception about psychopaths is that they are above average intelligence, which is false, but perpetuated via Hollywood. They do however only exist on the hedonistic treadmill which means they are rational in regards to the fact that their world view is purely on a reward/punishment system, compared to a normal functional individual which juggle between hedonistic and moralistic reasoning.
