Vote here
To be honest I'd rather leave the Amarr and Gallente Assault Bonus alone because both of them are quite fine as is.

Can you add details about what is being changed? Better informed voters would make the results more accurate.

This is unclear. Do you mean the current Assault bonuses or the Singularity Assault bonuses?

Nothing is official Terry this is just asking if you think the current assault suit bonuses are good or you think could be replaced with something better.
Currently The Amarr assault gets a reduction in heat buildup for laser weapons.
The Gallente Assault gets a CPU/PG reduction on hybrid weapons
The Minmitar Assault get more ammo in their sidearm magazine.
The Caldari get a small bonus to Shield Extension.
I heard Devs talk of changing the Amarr bonus to shield repair efficacy
changing Gallente to Armor plate efficacy
changing Minmitar to Damage modifier efficacy
I don't remember about Caldari. |

It would probably be better to make "change THIS suit?" polls so that you can see a "75% favor THIS alteration while 25% oppose it" statistic. Currently, if 100 people vote and 50 vote for the gallente assault suit change while no one votes against it, it will show that 50% of the community is for the change rather than 100% of those who voted for that suit.
I am curious to see how this turns out though, regardless if I have to do some math on my own afterwards to see who cares about what. |

I'll have better wording in the future. |

The 'Assault Suit Variant' bonus for all suits should be an additional 5% efficiency to all 'weapon operation' skills. That way, at level 5, people who use a SCR would get an additional 25% cooldown speed, AR's would have 25% less recoil, snipers would have 25% less scope sway, Swarms would have 25% reduction to lock on speed, shotguns would get 25% more spread, etc. I think this would be more fitting for Assault suits as they are supposed to be the most adept at handling and operating light weapons.

While I like your idea I don't see why there needs to be a blanket bonus for all assault Variants in the first place.
Why can't there just be two different Racial bonuses. |

Imo, there should be both racial offensive and defensive bonuses that apply to EVERY suit across a race + an additional racial role bonus (or two, even!) which may expand/stack either of the former or differ as is appropriate.
Take the Amarr, for example:
Amarr Offense: 3% reduction to laser weapon heat buildup Amarr Defense: 5% efficacy to armor plates + Amarr Assault: 3% reduction to laser weapon heat buildup Amarr Logi: x% Uplink efficacy, 5% reduction to sidearm fitting costs Amarr Commando: +2% laser weapon damage per level Amarr Sentinel: x% weapon damage resistances Amarr Scout: x% max stam and regen, 5% laser weapon feedback damage resistance
Gallente would get Plasma/Reps, Caldari Rail+Missile/Shield (all shield mods, imo, not just extenders, which are not quite powerful enough on their own), Minmatar Projectile+Explosive for the offensive, but would take some consideration for the tank bonus. They're not exactly dedicated anything tankers, compared to the others. Is a bonus to Biotics for speed tanking comparable to the tank bonuses of other races? Might we need include a general bonus to regen modules, both shield and armor?
In any event, it'd make things a lot more interesting in terms of racial consistency in the game universe. Those who don't like the idea of racial synergy would surely hate it, though. |
