How do we develope more conscious blueberries? How do we create a known standard throughout the dust community to where we're not cussing the day that random blueberry was born?
How do we get the assault blueberry to know what needs to be done even if he's not in squad? The sniper NEWberry to realize there are 5 snipers on our team already?! How do we get them to cover our movements when we move forward, stop picking us up in front of tanks, and stop driving off with empty lav's?
To fix these common issues, we must do more than complain about them. I propose we start addressing them here. I know some negative nancy is going to say "just deal with it" because he's an idiot without a brain, but I want the smart guys here to give me their ideas in this post.
Also in practice, realize that the things you do to help bluberries in battle may cause him to join your cause. We can only call in so many lav's so wait to fill it with squadmates and/or blues as it is more benficial to have 3 guys on a point than 1 and a blown up lav?! If you see a heavy pic him up in your lav before he gets sniped, and heavies get yourself a ride bro!
Dropships! Fill the damn bay man! Assault! Get out of the man's dropship!!! One of the main reasons vehicles rarely rock CRU's is abuse of their vehicle?! Spawn on the dropship, wait for 2 more guys, then jump! If you see guys jumping hit circle!
If a vehicle has a CRU in it, use it to spawn! Not hide! Tanks sometimes have them, so I spawn and get out immediately! Using the tank for support so someone else can spawn behind me. Not so i can rack up free points like a scrub?!
The key here is TACTICS.... not opportunity?!
So i'm open to suggestions, stories of the experienced, and ideas!

Though satisfying, it doesn't fix the problem?! I honestly think CCP should revamp the team chat to where squad is automatic, and team chat is push to talk. This would enable us to let them know we're hitting bravo, or they're about to be hit at charlie.

True, but I would still like to minimize this to just random occurances of one to two blues, not whole squads of blunderers?!

True, a better academy emphasizing on squad support and tactics tutorials would help. CCP does need to revamp the academy bexause it is indeed, worthless.

I know it may seem a bit redundant, but maybe AI warning alerts that let new players know an area is being overrun? Obviously the point is blinking, but to a newb that just means what? If there were flash warning that read "team members at delta are outnumbered" maybe a novice would think to reinforce that area? Wishful thinking i know?!

I'd change my tune if there was a "GTFO of my ride" feature, of if my teammates couldn't pilot my vehicle until I died or something.
As far as new players having the wherewithal to notice there are already X snipers on their team, I donGÇÖt think this realistic. First, you canGÇÖt tell whoGÇÖs doing what right awayGÇöyouGÇÖd have to wait a minute to see what everyone had fitted and where everyone went, etc. Additionally, the new guys are the ones that need the practice, so it seems like the community-conscious vet would want to step down as a sniper for the match and do something else.
I donGÇÖt like to squad up because I WANT TO ACTUALLY PLAY. Too often IGÇÖve found that squad play is slow paced and the leader cherry picks matches. Maybe if you have a group of regulars or are in the same corp, but if you arenGÇÖt, rando-squading is just awful.
You are right about the ride thieves! CCP refuse to introduce the "ejecto seato" button so I can not blame a pilot for not wanting to have riders. There should also be the ability to communicate to the blues to "JUMP"! When a pilot gets to a good destination, who ever is aboard gets the strike order! Who ever stays gets "ejecto seato" next to the lav full of heavies
Your idea about the dropship only being comondierable after the pilot dies is also good. We all have complained about the mechanics of vehicle transportation?! CCP seems to cater to whiners more than logical strategist. They gave us the 5-15 sec wait which is just a different type of crutch from our previous predicament?! Just give us doors to open if we want randoms in the vehicles, or a setting check box. They claim pro choice with dropsuits, but not so much on the ability to choose who can stay in the vehicle and when?!
If running solo I will squad up for that match, then after the match if it takes longer than 2 mins to start I leave. That way I keep it moving, but am also assisting a squad in battle. Side note to that is if you have squad members who constantly have to restock after every battle? May I suggest a pow wow on financial and time management ::)
All valid points though bro thank you ::)

SPOT ON!!! That could work! CCP, are you getting this?

SPOT ON!!! That could work! CCP, are you getting this? I think that would go a long way to helping. Eventually I think having some sort of PVE skirmish where some vets could get in and basically run easy mode games so that they can explain to new players how it all works would greatly help the current situation. The generally negative attitude that has been displayed is rather off putting though. Odds are that most of the blueberries that everyone keeps saying are just idiots are probably in fact just uninformed. There is a lot of complexity to the game that is very poorly explained. To say that such a large portion of the player base is useless and can't ever contribute has to come from some sort of Napoleonic complex to make oneself feel more important.
Exactly!!! The "stupid blueberry' is probably just the "bluebery who started a week ago?!" Not having a way to comm up with the other squads can cause confusion, terrible assumptions, and massive misunderstandings?! Your squad is wondering why we won't push bravo when we got charlie, and we're wondering why no one has a forge gun for the blaster tank pinning us down at charlie lol?!
This idea could work wonders for clearing up a whole host of rivalries as well lol!

2Berries wrote:"Welcome to New Eden" context needs to be changed, and this falls on all of us. We have this great open area that is undefined by CCP, and it is up to us to change how new, & stupid, players are treated.
Reach out to those in need!
The culture change needs to begin with reaching out and training those in need. There are resources availbe on how to best play your role and we should point players to those resources. It wasn't till my 3rd week of being stomped before i found the forums and the training ground section therein. That is were i learned when it's appropriate to revive a fallen team member. (immediately felt bad for each time a hit someone with jesus sticks in the middle of a firefight). The academy teaches you how to hold your AR. Thats it. Nowhere does it teach you about squading, productive team roles, appropriate use of gear or what the expectation of other team members. It is the task of each player to train others, and there is real beauty in that, but that is so much harder than just bitching about it.
Reach out, train, teach, help. Damn, send a polite mail every now & again. This is how you combat the "damn blueeberry" issue.
I have the horrible feeling that it will be the players who destroy this game.
This is very true! Send a "gg" (good game) every now and again. Stop being a tool just because you got 21 kills?! Invite players to chats and squad, and stop sending hate mail. You might learn something ::)

2Berries wrote:I would like to see vehicle locks as modules that you have to skill into and apply to a vehicle. Also, a recall function added to the locks:
No skill-no locks-recall as it is now. Lvl 1-std/basic locks, much like we have now. 5 sec wait-to-enter time. Recall as is Lvl3 -adv locks. Squad access without wait, team access after 10sec. Recall vehicle even when team member is inside (blueberry returned unharmed to mcc) Lvl5 -proto locks. Squad only access, vehicle able to be remotely recalled. ) (blueberry inside returned unharmed to mcc)
Allows owners to secure high value vehicles, allows vehicles to be depoyed for others and allows owners to manage deployed veihcles deployed for team use.
Nice! CCP should jump on this!
