Many times we have the opportunity to queue with corp mates and in organized squads. Yes, Dust is a team game, and this should be practiced whenever possible. Sometimes, though, that's not possible, yet we are still placed in matches with organized groups of proto-geared mercs. Fighting as a team essentially of lone wolves against a tightly organized team doesn't create the best matchmaking experience, especially for new players, but for all players alike.
To resolve this, a solo queue option should be selectable so that matchmade games--for all the varieties of FW and Public contracts that we have now--will queue up groups of lone wolf mercs against other groups of lone wolves. Sure, people's gear and fitting will be varied, as happens now, but the experience will be much more balanced due to everyone having to work together coming in solo.

I don't see anything wrong with the idea. What if you only have a few minutes and you want to get in a quick game. If you had to search for a squad, get mic'd up, etc. it cuts into time you have to play.
I think before FW came on fully, the FW queue was kind of like this. It seemed like you found less orgainized teams, less protos, in that queue. |
