My predictions.
Gal vs. Cal.
If fight rages for more than 4s, then Cal.
If Gal has flux, then Gal.
Open ground, depends on weapon used, but generally gal at CQC, except if it is super slow.
Am vs. Trash
Am all the way 'cept CQC (I hope)
What these toss-ups will depend on is drop suit load out, and socket type

oh boy slower movement, less shields, lower slots and rep, gallente will always have more armor, gets a 5% higher resistance to projectiles, oh goodie

You don't have to believe me. 
I came to this realization really wanting to spec into Minmatar. But math says Amarr wins any straight up heavy-to-heavy fight, especially if it involves HMGs.
And if you plan on committing the ungodly sin of putting light weapons on a non-Commando, CR Amarr > RR Gallente.
On a side note about speed, the difference between Amarr and Gallente is 0.2m/s. If Gallente puts on an extra Complex armor plate, they are the same speed.

Correct, there is no such thing as a "proper heavy." You can fit whatever you like in a Heavy weapon slot. Run two flaylocks for all I care.
In all honesty, I'm more worried about former slayerlogi players bandwagoning around Sentinel with CR/RR because of the beefy HP/resistancesGǪ I guess we'll wait and see.

I don't know about GalSentGǪYeah its got resistances for armor (I don't know why, but whatever) and its got the low slots to be a proper heavy HeavyGǪbut that 1 sec recharge delay on CalSent is going to have some serious implications for figuring out how to fight it.
Given that CalSent has a 4 sec delay on recharge and a 1 sec delay on depleted recharge you might want to hold off on that flux until you've got more squadies in position. Its definitely going to be a suit to hug corners all right rather than a straight stand up brawler.
The most OP weapon on the Dust Battle Field:
One good logi, one rep tool, and a heavy.

Amarr Sentinel is not an omni tank. It is an armor tank now, and with the new stats in 1.8 it is even more of an armor tank.
