Not much time ago, I heard from a dev that it wouldn't be possible to trade aur in exchange of a good when we'll have player market. Now, just a question: why?
Assuming we know the isk/aur exchange rate, it would definitely be a good way to enrich ccp without hurting players experience. People should be able to buy/sell in both values: whoever is short on cash with isks would buy a 2 Gé¼ aur pack and buy a Thale's TAR-07, while anyone who don't want to spend money on Dust can still buy it in isk. The aur will then be charged to the seller's wallet, who will use them to sell to buy other goods etc.
Moreover, with secondary market new players can fill the SP gap between them and older characters, buying boosters in isk. The cycle would be something like:
- looting goods in PVE or in Battle ( we'll take as example a Thale's TAR-07 )
- selling them both in isk and aur (it will be up to the seller to choose which one or both eventually)
- Price is fixed: you can always change your price, but cannot change the isk/aur proportion. In other words let's pretend 100 aur = 100 000 isk: I wish to sell a TAR 07 in both values at 200 000 isk. I should not be able to sell it at different exchange rate like, for example 200 000 isk and 100 aur, or 100 000 isk and 200 aur.
- seller would gain both in isk and aur
- aur gained would be used to buy aur-exclusive items, such as boosters.
- boosters are re-sold both in isk and aur to make, this time, a huge profit.
What's your point of view on this? should player market allow aur trade? Let's discuss, I'd really love to hear others opinions.

Of course, but first of all CCP should wipe the isk generated by district locking, otherwise they will just pass from district locking to market stomp, because it will be more profitable.
1.8 it's so secret that nobody know what will be in it, even after patch notes...

Fair point is fair... they still don't know, but isk generating farms are going to create a huge isk inflation.

No AUR trading. It is real money and we can only deal in ISK and goods. Selling thales for AUR is pay to win. Officer drops should be rare and only obtainable by fighting in battles or through a player ran market. AUR trade is a bad idea and probably has some real world legal issues.

Reasoning behind this?
