I never check special contracts but I was just scrolling and it appeared but disappeared right away... so instead of afking I just kept checking for 1 to pop up but everytime it did it was full. only got to play 1. :( then no more popped up.

Wait, what? How does that make it hardcore mode? It just makes it confusing and silly (doesn't fit lore-wise). It seems more like a glitch than hardcore mode... sorry to be the killjoy 
However, DUST definitely needs a hardcore mode. Otherwise all the protos go stomp pubs whilst waiting for the next PC match.
