I have a friend that's terrible in this game. So terrible, in fact, that he usually gets around 0-5 or 0-10 when I squad with him because Scotty thinks we should go against alright players if we squad up.
Anyways, he finally got Active Scanners to 3 and that's how he gets WP more than 150 these days. He wants to be a scout and I told him the best fit suited for him, but he had to sacrifice his scanner, too which he refused with a bit of complaining and crying.
Now, that's what he does for most of the match. 360 scans all over the place with some deaths here and there and more assists than usual. Maybe MAYBE some kills.
Scanners can make ANY player do better without many consequences.
Just wanted to share this story because I find it hilarious.
At least, they're getting fixed in 1.8 with the snap scans. \o/ |

This is why I don't like playing with little kids in videogames. But yeah, their scans ARE helpful some times. But other times, he follows me, shoots me, shoots other Blues, get scanned and lead others to me, etc. It's better just running solo most of the time. |

So your saying your friend has terrible awareness, and the one piece of equipment developed to give people better awareness has worked for him? Wow! Thx for sharing...

I hate scanners so much I had to get proto dampners asap. Now you don't see my medium frame coming unless you're rocking a proto scanner.
I also hate scanners so much because I use them as a crutch. Almost every medium fit I have has a scanner attached to it. |

Everyone knows scanners are OP, but these guys make it sounds as if they improve your gungame.
When i see "you have been scanned," i find a nice spot to sit until they turn the corner, and then collect my 50 wp.. |

I find it hilarious that the majority of the community WANTED points for killed painted targets. Now the community is crying again about the scanners themselves.
I told you guys over and over this would happen. It's like the curse of Cassandra here.

Yup. Except it want designed for 360 scans. And it hasn't worked much since he still goes negative every single match.
Plus, I'm not trying to say anything for our against scanners. Just sharing the story because I thought it was funny and sad. |

It's awesome for assists. But scanners aren't working as intended. 360 scans weren't meant to be. That's why there are angles worked in for it.
Once 1.8 hits and enables snap scans, I think scanners will be a thing if the past for most. |

Never said gungame. Just better (since he gets WP for scans if we squad and manages to sneak up on a few players and get a few shotgun shells in) |
