Battle finder is leading me to have an extremely inflated ego by constantly pitting me against full squads. I have yet to be put on the team with the stompers, or to have an even match over the past few days.
Either I'm so awesome the game is trying to put me back in my place, or the matchmaking system is garbage and needs serious love.
inb4 low player counts. This is why we are where we are.

Indeed, otherwise, I too am way more awesome than logic or reason would suggest and need to be specifically accounted for by every matchmaking algorithm known to man (or at least CCP).
I'm worth at least 3 or 4 Nyain San tanks, apparently.

I think it's statistics. Matchmaker Scotty is a psychopath, so don't count on him. Beyond that of the two teams - one red with protostompers and one blue with randoms you as a random are much more likely to end up on the blue team. A full squad of stompers take 6 of 16 team slots leaving you only 10 slots to be filled in by randoms, the opposite blue team has 16 slots for randoms. Voila - your chances being on the random team are 16 out of 26
Oh, sht! I just learned you can make a signature! Thanks, CCP! Forums are getting better!

That accounts for one squad versus randoms. That's inevitable. Two squads versus randoms is pure fail.

The core of the problem is the fact that public matches assign players to a team before the battle starts.
The problem could be mostly solved by making the team assignment wait until after the room fills up, or at least when the pre-match timer is down to ten seconds or so. Then squads would be kept together, but each team would get squads, and queue-syncing would also be far less practical than it is currently. |

We had ~5 guys who knew what they were doing. Was only a victory because last 3 minutes I bum rushed each objective with uplinks. Scored about 1600 WP went 14/4.
However when I play during prime hours when people actually squad up every match is either extremely boring or complete ****. Makes me pretty sure that the problem with matchmaking is with squads.
