So it would seem that I can't even get one round in with out fatal errors IV lost every single ads I had and all the isk for them is gone due to fatal errors.. So tell me ccp is this gonna be fixed at all? I know fat chance on the isk or anything being recouped but I honestly need a real reason why i should stay. Its bad enough that most of the ads skills do not work. Well ccp your turn give me a good reason why i should stick around. I had uninstalled the game reinstalled it and got rid of all the chat channels that would in your theory get rid of the fatal error....guess what didint work. So your turn ccp surprise me |

I feel your pain. Happens just about every other match for me.
Some people tell me that reinstalling the game helps, though it does not help everyone.

Here is my personal experience with fatal errors and Dust: last year, right around late January, the rate and frequency of fatal errors (from Dust) caused my old Fatbody Playstation to utterly fail, leading me to purchase this new slimline model.
That is now experiencing another bout of Fatal errors at an increasing frequency.
I have recently been digilent in performing a system File Restore after each occurrence and last night deleted and reinstalled the dust client but, first game today results in another fatal error.
These errors, for me, occur almost always at the end of a pub match (any variety), after the Victory or Defeat screen and just prior to the display of the 'stats' screen.
CCP, please do not prove my conspiracy theory that you are in league with Sony in a devious plot correct! That you would distribute a F2P game capable of 'culling' the hardware in the market you deem 'ready for Renewal' would be deplorable! |

Its about the money I'm pretty sure if the play reds had to pay to play then thru would be obligated to work on the game but as it stands I dont think that's going to happen |

It's pretty much same how it work for me.. I get that fatal error at the end or near to it. Today I even decide to open my PS3 to check pasta on CPU..

I have a new PS3. It's less than a month old. I play 10 or so matches a day until I hit my cap, and then play about 3 matches a day until next cap. I get a fatal error at least once a day. It causes a hard reset on my PS3 that I'm worried will eventually corrupt the HDD.
This needs a fix ASAP.

I have not had a fatal error in at least one whole week!! But I did get just a black screen the other day. I had to restart my PS3 and the worrying thing is when it started back up it had to do a full systems file check.
This ain't good CCP. Your game is corrupting my PS3. Fix your laggy ass cruddy game. |

But i usually just push the switch on the back,above the power cord to off.
If i quit and let it do its own thing it hard resets and asks if i want to report the problem to sony (which i do) then does a file check.
But if i kill the power myself it doesn't do a file check.(this has worked for meee)

For the black screens at the beginning of a match I found out that repeatedly pausing and unpausing would fix it. If you still fave the issue then you can try to shoot or walk in one direction until the map loads in around you. |

This is probably a bad idea. If you kill the power with the switch you're still doing a hard reset, but you won't know if you messed up your file-system (until your PS3 stops working completely, that is).
Best thing is probably to let it do its thing so Sony gets another error report. More reports equals higher odds of Sony calling CCP and asking "WTF is going on!", if they haven't already done so.
As for various fixes involving opening up your PS3, swapping HDD etc. - There's no point. It's the game, not your PS3.
(Basic maintenance is of course still a good idea, but it won't fix this game).
Also - send a ticket to CCP every time this happens, and throw in one extra for Sony. Ask about it on Sony's support forums, call their help line, etc. Make them aware that this game is killing PS3's left and right. They're the only ones who can force CCP's hand.
(And if you really want to play dirty, contact some of CCP's investors ) |
