Very critical time for DUST at the moment (ok honestly, when is it NOT critical) HOWEVER, yesterday was supposedly "THE BIGGEST ONLINE PVP BATTLE IN HISTORY" and it happened in OUR UNIVERSE! This brings SO MUCH attention to your company, yet here you are on holiday missing what may be the biggest publicity that eve has ever had. Which kinda puts DUST 514 in the spotlight too, people who look up eve but cant play it or don't want to will come across DUST 514 (since there connected right ) Without over complicating the marketing theroy here YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON SO MUCH FREE PUBLICITY.
What you should be doing is focusing all your time on getting and keeping new players interested in this game. Any little secret you were saving or stuff you are putting on hold, it needs to be deployed a.s.a.p. I dont know how long game devs get vacation time for (i hope its a lot, you deserve it) but this attention is only gonna last a few days.... IF THAT.
I am in NO WAY commenting on your work ethic or telling you how to do your jobs. I am stating the obvious facts when it comes to marketing and advertisement. I know it probably sucks to think about having to work on your holiday but if you want to keep working and make more money then obviously you need to stay in business and continue to make that business grow. I like you guys and i love this game all i want is for you guys to succeed so we can have the play experience are striving for.
Have fun either way. - Peace n' stuff, F.J.

Unless you are actually invested in EVE, the battle from an outer perspective is rather boring. Interesting only by theoretical money expended, but other than that.... still boring.

I was told by Hans from CPM that we should be expecting a lot of new information starting in about a month. They're not waiting for Fan Fest, CCP under the direction of new Executive Producer CCP Rouge are about to start letting us in on what's going on with the future of Dust!

But come on now we are talking boosts in publicity for a game that we all know could use it.... idk maybe there just not ready for the advertising yet.

Everyone should get that time off but the realities of society get in the way of that. CCP is an entertainment corporation. The stuff they development is purely for leisure, it is not a world necessity. So while the realities of society mean many people have to work on holidays, I see no reason why a video game company should have to. They don't actually get as many breaks as you'd think. They'll all be back soon enough.

Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, even if your job isn't important you may still need the hours.
Come on now Aero, the entertainment industry is DIRECTLY influenced by the "realities of society" as i said peoples attention spans are short, and with social media the way it is the market is more unpredictable then EVER. If something goes viral YOU BEST take advantage of it because people WONT EVEN CARE within a very short time. You should know this is exactly how our registries work, because that is the same algorithm the forums use.
edit: we all deserve to make our own hours and spend as much time as we need with our families, the U.S.A. is one of THE WORST AT THIS... as i said i have had to work and no my job isn't important directly to you or society but if i stopped then i couldnt get paid... possibly even lose the job, so, trust me i am against working on the holidays.

and pointless to boot. From what I took away from it was a bunch of players with isk to burn and trying to sink of it as much of it as possible in that battle for the lolz.

I dont play eve but as far as i heard it was a very decisive victory for a couple people. in a system that someone was was using for there main staging area. the winning forces got a lot out of it. not to mention an UNHEARD OF amount of titans were destroyed (idk really what that means but w.e.).. the record amount lost in one battle was 24 and one team alone lost like 70 also about 1/4 of all the doomsdays fired in the history of eve were fired that battle.... look it up there is actually some pretty cool press on the matter....
