Each turret works best with a certain vehicle! Out side of that, they're pretty bad.
Tanks
+ Blaster: Used to keep infantry away when they're approaching, possible detonate jihad jeeps as well. Much more reliable than other turrets.
- Rail: the moving tank will throw off aim, AV is weak and redundant on a tank, low tracking speed
- Missile: flight time makes hitting targets difficult, AV again is a little redundant, but usable
LAVs:
+ Rails: Excellent sniping platform, can disengage quickly and move to new locations fast and easily.
- Blasters: short range puts you in range of enemy fire, inaccurate
- Missiles: Same as blaster
Dropships:
+ Missiles: High vantage point makes landing splash damage easy, easier to land shots than other turrets
- Rails: Constant motion of the dropships and enemies makes landing shots hard, not powerful enough for AV (unless on an Incubus, but the role is limited to AV)
- Blaster: Same problem as with the LAVs

Kills- Incubus: 4; Pythons: 2; Other DS: 29 Gêå1; Tanks: 31 Gêå3

most of my passengers prefer small rails, I use tanks, and I just stop moving while they remove the infantry targets.
I use my large turrets to deal with vehicles and they remove infantry. |

I wish. though I doubt that spamming LAVs would do much good. 1 or 2 tanks and your run is over.

Are you sure? Two or three well coordinated LAVs might do it. I may just start a little following to due this.

I squadded up with moody while he was running a Rail/LAV platform with a mate. They were killing it.

LAV RESEARCH is where I'm based out of. I've been advocating LAV's for a while, but not enough man power to test out some of my Theory crafted ideas. I have an OP here in General discussions if you look back a couple of pages.
What do you do when you See "WARNING, Damage Mod Active" on an LAV? You wake up in another suit.

you still have proto turrets x-eon? i have both hybrid turrets to prof III. hard to find decent drivers though.

Proto Blaster prof. 3 and working on rails now. I'm pretty invested in LAVS and vehicle stats in general. Add the Chat channel above and whenever you or anyone else is down we can ride.

Pretty spot on.
Small rails for LAVs
Small Missile for Derpships
Small blasters for the garbage
edit: Also if your driver and gunner are good enough you can take down a gunnlogi or sica with a small rail by literally driving in circles around it. Maddies and somas are much more difficult.

Problem is you'd damn well better be:
- Moving fast so your gunner doesn't get killed
- Gunning in a heavy suit, in which case you'd be better off not in the LAV anyway |
