Love how the new sentinels are looking... except for the Minmatar
Lowest EHP (excluding resists) for a minimal speed bonsu that for 99% of the time will mean less than nothing (unless it comes with much smaller hit box... even then) and with stats so all over the place its going to sub par to the others even with a pimped fit.
Esteemed members of the CPM... hear my call... i may be missing something here, but please can you alleviate my worries?
Edit: worried about the basic suit too....
The answer is "ForgeGun"... doesnt matter what the question is...

Sounds like CCP is hitting the racial stereotypes: Gallente: Best DPS Amarr: Best Armor Tank Caldari: Best Shield Tank Minmatar: Best Speed Tank

Minmatar suits are generally a "good at everything, master at none" suit, it can be a really fast suit with subpar shields to the caldari, or it can be a slightly faster armor suit that can actually fit a 2nd damage mod
It will be an interesting suit, 2 sprint speed mods and 2 damage mods will make it an extremely mobile suit compared to the others but not nearly as tanky

ChromeBreaker, I understand your concern. But I think we should let this play out and make adjustments to the Minmatar suit after if we still think it is necessary. I suspect the Minmatar Sentinel suit will result in some emergent play styles. Once you get it to Advanced and can fit an Armour Repair and Kinetic Catalyser it will be quite an interesting suit.
I normally play a Speed Heavy fit (on Crash Gaden), and although I have decided to spec into Amarr Centinel, I was certainly tempted to go Minmitar. The main thing that stopped me is that due to only having 1 low slot the standard level is not good for a speed fit.

I understand the thought behind it, but 0.4m/s (over the amarr sentinel) isnt enough to get anywhere near a speed tank, especially with a heavies hit box. For 0.2m/s the gal gets more HP, a armour rep, and a slot layout that can allow it to go faster than the mini without much effort. The amarr sentinal fit to speed tank can do a better job than the minmatar, more tank, faster and with Dmg mods.
As it is the minmatar sentinel will get out performed by each of the other suits. And i would like to believe adjustments would be made after release but this isnt an Eve ship change, time scales for dust are a lot longer. I cant justify skilling into the suit when the others can do it better.
I propose more of a speed boost (make it noticable), and/or a faster shield recharge rate (to empisise the hit and run aspect it aparently has?)
The answer is "ForgeGun"... doesnt matter what the question is...

The minmatar sentinel is the only suit that can both armor tank and fit 2 damage mods, or shield tank and fit 2 sprint speed mods, i would say its down to preference
Ofc we need to wait and see how it plays once 1.8 drops
Generally ship changes in eve take years to happen (assault ships alone, pushed by a friend of mine while he was in CSM) took 5 years(?) to get buffed, the dramiel changes took 2 years, etc etc

The Minmitar Sentinel will be as fast as a Caldari or Gallente Commando, and faster than the Amarr Commando. 0.4 m/s does not seem like much, but it may be more significant on the field than we realize. After all the Amarr Scout is only 1.2 m/s faster than the Minmatar Sentinel.

Ahh theyre a lot better now, when a ships have been released or changed recently they make fixes to it very soon afterwards (new balance changes)
My problem is that the tiny extra speed is just going to get you into trouble a little faster, where you will really wish you had that extra HP/recharge etc.
Each of the new suits being released has a quality, a special unique feature that makes it unique to the others... the Minmatar sentinal doesnt.

I am afraid this will be one of those things where it needs to be try it before seeing it type of scenarios while theory crafting is good in making preliminary thoughts ready for balancing its rarely good in making actual numbers.
