Hi,
This is my first post, so please consider that I'm really experienced PC and console player. I would like discuss some issues I find in Dust.
First, the game lacks some training area/shooting range where you can just test stuff like weapons and controls. For me this is just stupid I have to make alts just to see like a weapon look like.
Second, dust is not noob friendly. I know this is not just bad, but player base seems a lot smaller then few moths ago. The main problem in this is not that game is complicated or hardcore, but for me its matchmaking flaw. If you have fresh alt you have really high chance to face full squad of proto guys in the first match. Matchmaking should be based more on player experience.
Third, aim assist need to go away. You can flame me, but there is a real problem in here. Some of the "better" players use hardware devices that let you use kb/m with aim assist and its legit no one will ever ban you for that.

Damn a shooting range would actually be a damn good idea, they could set it up with tutorials to teach optimum range and optimum damage types.
Maybe even reward a ***** for completion of it.
The academy is a joke no doubt, CCP dont have a clue what to do about it it seems. |

Yeah. A shooting range would be a cool addition to the merc quarters. I think you should still invest SP to unlock the wrap first, however.
In the shooting gallery, you would be shown the weapon's stats in a sign so you would know its optimals, total range, damage, heating, etc.
Secondly, WP needed to graduate Academy should be increased to get the berries more familiar with the game. I think it took me about 4 days to get familiar with the game and its handling.
Thirdly, you can't remove aim assist until keyboard and mouse and controller are balanced. That being said, bullet magnetism should be eliminated. I'm often caught dead while behind cover as a scout. |

How do you know for sure those devices are used in dust?
I know how easily they can be used but how do you know for sure?

This is the real problem, no one can tell for sure, even CCP admins can't know that. You can feel it in game, but you cant really report anyone, because admins will not ban when they are not sure. Aim assist make a legit cheat for some players and I think its bad thing for this game |

Agree with everything you said and to be honest, that's a rarity for me.
Place to test / use weapons and mess about - We would like, especially in the form of PVE.
Matchmaking if flawed - Correct it is very flawed right now.
AA - after using aim assist on the control the other day, after only using the KB/M for about a year on dust, (and watching it get nerfed over time) damn right the AA is a problem in this game, its way too powerful! I think only BF4 has a more invasive and ridiculous system. |

Yes please give us balance because right now there is NO balance for us KB/M players. The menus are wonky, selecting spawn points is hard work, turning turrets and stuff is crazy and dont even get us started on trying to fly a dropship with KB/M.
The system felt better in chrome. |

I guess you can still strafe better with KB/M. It's something!

If memory serves, CCP already mentioned they wanted a shooting range so you can test out weapons back at fanfest 2013... but then that's not the first time a fanfest has talked about things that never made it into the game - and yes, it's a great idea.
