Just how far gaming has come in so little time, and to imagine how far it will go in the exact same span of time
Gaming Tribute
And, since DUST is in that video, this is technically DUST related

I started gaming with Lazy Jones on the amazing Commodore 64. 20 years later I'm here in New Eden calling down orbitals and shooting bitches in the face.
I was actually watching some of the Fanfest 2013 D514 keynote this morning again and saw the vid of Chromosome > Uprising graphics update and it made me appreciate how far the game has come.

Commodore 64!! I remember having Atomic Mission, a text based adventure game. Before that I had the Atari 2600, where you selected the difficulty on the console itself. I had so many Atari games but I remember mostly this game called Adventure. You had to get a chalice. The square was your character and a arrow was your sword.
Gaming has come so far along. And they were much harder back then, than they are now.

I started out on the Snes playing star fox and Super Mario 2. Most memorable though was Armored Core on the demo disc that came with the PsX. Instantly hooked me for life. Noticed A- the only D514 was that snazzy war room. B- Armored Core V FTW. Nobody knew of ye, but i want to buy a replacement Blu ray drive just to play your sequel.

Started on the nes and snes
Though I have to say games have been dumbed down a lot since then or more forgiving and more hint giving prone
Due to the lack of technology to dazzle us or massive multiplayer to keep us self entertained they had to focus on better stories and unique gameplay.

Atari 2600, Pitfall.
But the first game I ever fell truly in love with (became a fanboy of) was Dizzy, on my trusty Amstrad CPC464. The little egg with boxing gloves who couldn't throw a punch. Finding a snorkel in Treasure Island Dizzy and backtracking to the coastline to jump UNDERWATER(!!!!) is a landmark moment in my gaming career.
"Bubbles come out of the snorkel, BUBBLES COME OUT OF THE SNORKEL!! Mum! MUMMMMMM! This game is IMMACULATE!!"
If you see me in the redline, driving an LAV in circles, fear not! Its my two year old son enjoying New Eden.

I used to have contra and duck shooting lol
Then I didn't get anything until the PlayStation 2 came out. Only got it because classmates kept talking about it and I felt left out. This was back in 2002 when I was in second grade. The memories :') |

Always hated that damn bat on the higher levels. Always taking that one item I needed at that exact moment he took it. And he never brought it back.
Dust 514?...............More like Dust 5150.
