with all these new stuff coming in 1.8 and us waiting a hell of a long time for them to just release patch notes, will there be a respec?

I pray for that, logic tells me there should be respec. Jsut because there is big amount of new thingies and really big player base want it. And what is wnated by playerbase is what game needs. Simple and easy, they should make it essential for these upgrades honestly.

But if they change mechanique of something and that thing start be really nocomfortable for you, do you will stuck with it?! Actually change was their idea, not yours. This calls for respec.

The dropsuit command and dropsuit upgrade respec makes good sense and would allow folks to get out a suit that doesn't fit their playstyle anymore.
Leaving weapons alone will slow the pace of the shift, which would be good because it would reduce the inevitable FOTM feel of new content (i.e. RR, CR).
They just respec-ed vehicles, so it soesn't make sense to do them. |

Respest fine with me with as long as this is the last one sense all the normal content that should have been release along time ago during uprising. Hopefully when we get it this respect thread spam can stop. |

They said that and then issued a respec like two weeks later.

First off, we don't know for certain what is going to be in 1.8. CCP isn't telling us **** about 1.8. For all we know, these new dropsuits and weapons are destined for the new expansion. 1.8 might an underwhelming disappointment like 1.6 was.
Second, CCP isn't telling us **** about respecs. Last we heard they are discussing it internally... CPM may or may not be a part of that conversation, but they sure as hell aren't telling us anything. Essentially, we know nothing and that is how CCP wants it.
If we are getting respecs I would not look for an official word on it until just before patch day. It's pretty ******, I admit, but that's the way they are doing things around here.
Important note: most devs are out because of CCP's two week a month vacation policies. They should be returning around the 10th (this upcoming Monday), with some returning before that. Maybe we'll get a dev blog mid-February if we are lucky. It will probably be on some topic we don't care about like the colors used in HAV paintjobs , but it is better than nothing.

Only the ones who don't understand the SP system. DO you really want to tell me people would quit because they aren't willing to spend some 50k SP to get a new advanced suit and weapon? I mean seriously.

I really doubt we'll be getting a full respec. But CCP did a targeted respec with the vehicle tree for 1.7, and I imagine we'll see something similar on the infantry side next time around.
I'd put money on us getting an SP refund for anything in Dropsuit Command, maaaaaaaybe Dropsuit Upgrades.
I'd also bet that all the SP we have in Weaponry is staying put right where it is. And that represents the biggest chunk of SP investment for most people.

I think he was referring to the people who invested into Gallente/MInmatar scout or Amarr sentinel/commando because those were the only options to choose from. Personally, that would **** me off if I went with Amarr sentinel, CCP released the sentinel I really wanted, and they didn't allow me to migrate my SP into my preferred dropsuit.
I say this as a Caldari assault. If we get a dropsuit command respec I will be staying Caldari assault. I just want a respec for the poor folks who didn't get as lucky as I did.
