MALKALEN GÇô In a press conference called this morning, Mens Reppola, Chief Executive of Ishukone, formally announced plans for the reconstruction of the corporationGÇÖs headquarters in orbit of Malkalen V GÇô Moon 1.
The station, which was partially destroyed by the impact of FNS Wandering Saint during a Caldari-Gallente economic summit on May 15 YC110, has remained the operational headquarters of Ishukone for the past six years despite being in a severe state of disrepair due to the corporationGÇÖs precarious financial situation.
Over the course of the last twenty four hours, the entire structure has been swarmed by support drones and construction personnel. Vessels from Caldari Steel and Caldari Constructions were also sighted delivering shipments of hull components and construction materials yesterday. Work continued through the night in a flurry of activity, before crews retreated to within the station this afternoon.
Reppola gave a charged and emotional statement from on-board the station, claiming that GÇ£the Ishukone corporation is beginning to emerge from the darkest years of our history after not only the loss of a great leader, but also financial issues caused by the steel fist of the Caldari Providence Directorate when we wouldn't change our core values at the whim of a madman.GÇ¥
As more vessels from a number of construction contractors began to arrive, Reppola pledged to continue the re-development of the corporationGÇÖs infrastructure, stating that GÇ£our headquarters has remained a scarred tribute to the resolve and determination of every Ishukone employee for over half a decade, but from here forward, this changes.
As we usher in a new era for Ishukone, and begin to pen the next chapter of our corporationGÇÖs legacy, we will continue to embrace the core values that made Otro Gariushi endeared by us all.GÇ¥
The conclusion of the address was met with a roar of applause from Ishukone workers as Reppola, who had soared to popularity after releasing almost two thirds of board-controlled shares for purchase by workers after his appointment as CEO in April YC111, stepped back from the podium.
At the close of trading today, the Secure Commerce Commission reported that Ishukone stocks continued a steady but slow increase in value after the announcement, as the recovering corporation continues to keep focus on encouraging employee investment and stock ownership

Unofficially, I am really glad the boss finally decided to fix that thing...never felt safe whenever I had to visit the station on business. |

I have no idea what Noir was thinking when he destroyed the station. All I can say is that, as a Gallente, I'm ashamed to have once considered him a National Hero.
I'm so glad Ishukone is finally getting back on its feet. I've always considered it the most level-headed of the Caldari Corporations. Even when under Heth's regime, it refused to do the popular thing and dump resources into the occupation of Caldari Prime. For that I respect them.
Ishukone deserves to flourish once more, and hopefully their partnership with Material Acquisition is profitable and the beginning of a long and prosperous friendship, as well as the beginning of a new age of peace for the people of Caldari Prime. They deserve it after weathering two invasions. |

Possibly, but I doubt it could be any worse than when Heth invaded the planet. |

Mordu has no interest in claiming sovereignty and creating open conflict between his organization and both the Federation and the State. He is much wiser than that by far. |

I don't doubt it, but my point is that, even in a worst case scenario, Caldari Prime has probably already put the worst behind them. |

rule one with Mordu don't try and work out what he is up to or planning. i only saw the guy once from very far away when i first arrived in his space station along with a number of others. lets just say he was NOT what i was expecting in anyway shape or form and anyone who can get away with half of what he does and still be in charge of a merc outfit is NOT someone you mess with ever.
he has a huge stake in the clone project a planet in the middle of GAL and CAL space could be very very handy to him. not saying he would do it but if opportunity came along i dont doubt he would take it
OCC(and my first post of arriving is kicking around wwwaaaayyy back in closed beta weekends iv been Rping steady that long its scary)

Glad they are re-investing in the station...it definetly needed it.
I was with Ishakone for a long time before becoming a contractor...they are far better than most about dealing things straight, making sure your operation was resourced well, and paying to the letter.
I wouldn't try to read too much into Mordu at this point, he'll be keeping a sharp eye on the situation no doubt and he's always been on excellent terms with Ishakone. Several of us signed on with him in a deal brokered by Watch Special Operations DIrectorate just before Heth's attempted purge of Dusters. We can't fully confirm but it looked like to us that Ishakone higher ups got word of the purge and were trying to get as many of us out as they could and Mordu facilitated that.

Out of all the Caldari Corporations, Ishukone is the only one I openly appreciate. Glad to see they are finally turning things around, especially economically.
