Hello, let me just make an introduction.Do you see me?Do you see the name?Are you a tanker or "professed" tanker? Do you see the name? Good because its the last hing you're going to see before your screen turns grey.
Recently,as we all know the vehicle tree was redone and came to pass in 1.7 and since that time we've seen tanks moving faster than dropships looking like baha dune buggy's evading the now limited range of swarm launchers.Since CCP has seen fit to nerf the lock on range and damage of swarms.Shield tanks that need 3 proto forges to take down.Shooting simultaneously with breach forge guns that immobilize the shooter.Before said shield tank speed boost away back into the redline.
We've all either been on teams that have redline rail tanks that never leave the redline to either take the objective or help against enemy blaster tanks.Merely sitting back waiting to take a shot and being generally useless or as an opponent shooting us in the open or shooting into objectives ducking back or recalling the tank if it takes the slightest damage.
We've all seen it .They think there so clever using Armor Gallente chassis knowing that this will make them survive longer should a forge gun take a shot at them .Free to hit there armor hardeners and slip back to the safety of there redline.Knowing that Shield Caldari chassis take bonus damage from forge guns and forges do more damage than swarms.Knowing that with armor hardeners they can soak swarm missile damage by simply running away.Free to move about the battle field unimpeded unless another tank can oppose them and if there squad mates/team mates know where the enemy tank is they can simply fall back and shoot from 600 meters while sitting on a ridge line in the redline.I almost forgot to mention the fact that the av suit and weapon cost more than the vehicle you are trying to destroy.Sometimes 3 times as much.
Some say that Dust is "combined warfare" that vehicles should be included.That the aim is supposed to be like the battlefield franchise.Well there is a slight difference between that game and this.First long range shots have bullet drop from a tanks main gun..Second engineers in that game have a primary weapon and the av weapon is a secondary weapon so they can defend themselves against enemy infantry.Third the RPG does damage to infantry.Fourth the RPG can be dumbfired.So lets not make comparisons with that game and this one.
To all tankers out there with your slow reflexes and need for high ehp and regenerating hp and your **** rail sniping not helping to take objectives, non gun game, kdr queen,no skill,spawn camping in a tank,scrubs.
This is the beginning of a New Era and your time has come to an end.You see I dont care about my kdr.I dont care about ISK .I get paid to do what I do by contract.I do this as a favor to the infantry community.
If you see me in a match and you are a tanker.You might as well not even call it down.Because you and it are a going, to be,destroyed.I am relentless.I dont get discouraged.Dont care about KDR, and I have large financial backers that will keep me doing this for a very long time.If you would like to donate feel free.Btw.
To tankers. Every LAV will scare you and your paranoia will increase.You'll scream at your squad mates and ask them to go av and take me out, but they wont because doing so will make them a target to enemy infantry and even if they do I'll just be back again, and again,and again.You'll swear, and rage, and throw tantrums on comms. Ill be in the next match,and the next match,and the next match.Until you have to get out on foot and slog into the objective like the rest of us.Which will mean I've done my job.You capitulation due to my onslaught will be my victory.Until you feel as hopeless as the newb infantry you take perverse pleasure in poning match after match as the community becomes smaller and smaller.Until you feel it.Until you cry to CCP to get rid of me ,and my Hoggie LAV.....

Actually Forge Gun does Hybrid Rail damage which is -10% to shields and +10% to armor. In fact the only AV weapons that do bonus damage to shields are the Plasma Cannon (lol) and Flux Grenades. But cool story.

don't get me wrong I enjoyed them while I was speccing into tanks, but now that I can use a tank it makes a far better anti-tank then lav's.

LOL rail tank against rail tank.There is no tactics in tanking anymore its simply Blaster rapes infantry. Rail rapes blaster. So it's actually rail v.s. rail.It takes no skill to tank and is ridiculously boring.Much akin to sniping.One tank comes out and shoots the turrets the other guy waits see's the enemy tank and rails him from the back.Spare me with the Tanking is tactical speech's.
Alot of tankers will probably post in this thread and will try to spread misinformation an lies.RE"S are the only Av weapon left and a LAV is the best and fastest way to get them on target. |
