Looking at the forums people seem to have a good idea of what will be in 1.8, but I can't see anything in the usual places (top of GD or Announcements). Where can I find this info? Sorry for the basic question, I hadn't played for a month until today.
PS - how have they STILL not fixed the needle? THE most frustrating thing today, even more so than invulnerable tanks, was a pub round ruined by five revives straight into the line of fire. For me, that turned an okay round (21-5) into a bad one (21-10). For a new player, that could turn a 5-5 into a 5-10, and they'll never play the game again. |

Just expect more information 2 or 3 weeks from now. They'll probably be done or close to finishing by that time.
As for the needle, yeah. How could they have it completely fixed one patch, then manage to break it with the next one?

CCP... It just seems that people have very specific knowledge about what's in 1.8, e.g. specific logi suits will give specific equipment bonuses, assault suits get weapon bonuses, etc. Where are they getting that from?
If all they did in 1.8 was fix the needle I'd be happy |

I'm as exasperated as you at the lack of hotfixes for game-breaking mechanics... but there hasn't been a discernible pattern for this in the past - I remember TAC AR's were hotfixed mid-patch.... murder taxis were allowed to run rampant for 2-3 patch cycles If I recall - flaylocks were faster - maybe 2 patch cycles... They tried fixing equipment spam lag as a hotfix, but I think they'll wait until the full patch 1.8 for things like tanks.. the needle revive "loop" should have been fixed so long ago....... |

It sounds like it's been an issue for a while, but you should be aware that if it's a code change and not a data change they may not be able to hotfix it. |
